Clément Lenglet

The guy started for France NT and was a regular starter for Atletico. He's not Umiti or Fati, he is a very good player, always was but just not Barca profile and level. A decent Sporting Director would get some money for him or at least wouldn't pay him to leave.

You either don't understand what's happening with the pay him to leave situation or you're deliberately ignoring facts.

I'm not sure which.

I want the club to stay firm. If you want to play leave, we'll even let you go for free. If you only care about money, go sit your ass on the stands until the contract is up. Same goes for MATS and Fati.

I'm sure many players like Lenglet or MATS would accept leaving for free if that was the ultimatum but why would they? They know the cucks at Barca will pay them and then they'll go elsewhere and will also get paid. They can have the cake and eat it too thanks to our club.

I get in part the deffered wages part of it but reports like MATS wanting his full 3 season salary to leave? That's absurd.

This is clear bullshit. Journalists invent things like this to generate clicks. Why would Mats say something like that before he's out of the Nations League? It's very likely that no negotiations have taken place yet, and they won't until the Garcia deal is finalized. Someone writes something, and everyone believes it. It's a bit ridiculous.

Hope so but if MATS doesn't have any more deffered wages he should not get a penny from us anymore if he decides to leave. Even if he has deffered wages, fuck him. We have leverage because of the WC, use it.

I doubt Mats is asking for the remaining years on his contract to be paid, that would be ridiculous.

If any he's asking for what was deferred.

His contract is a bit messy, because when he renewed we still "owed" him from the hell days of barto.

The situation you want to see, could play out with fati, where it's not a deferred salary situation, and in that situation most will ask to leave like fati did 2 of the last 3 years on loan, because they don't want to just sit in the stands.

If fati should get sold tomorrow permanently he won't ask for anything related to salary.

Lenglet is different, Barto the devil told him, the club would pay him the salary he gave up during Covid, he wasn't going to leave without that.

He will totally ask for remaining years if we plan to rescind the contract like Gundagon.

While will ask for deferred wages it transferred.

What I'm seeing here looking between the lines, is that we are absolutely on the brink of FFP again and we will be lucky to get a solid transfer done outside of Joan Garcia.

Probably looking at ending being Rashy on a loan.

There's some very conflicting reports about that. We should know more officially very soon though.

Would be a damn shame if we have to go the third summer in a row barely being able to invest. There's a limit on how much you can extract from a squad and improve within. Especially depth-wise.

It will be the opposite, we will/can sign two players with little issues.

All this wage issues is just to address long standing issues with our wage structure.

1 down, only another to do with de Jong.

Deco counting renewals as new signings and club thanking players being let go for free is not a sign of things going great that's for sure. Signing back local boy who only wanted to return here or this season paying a release clause for Garcia are also not signs of great scouting/negotiating.

There is this positivity around the club but is it just Flick making Barca play champagne football and winning trophies while there's still a rot inside and same nepotism eating away the resources?

Barca man talks nothing but absolute garbage as it relates to anything structurally import at the club.

Been doing it since he thought rosell would be a good president.

Just been repeating the same thing, except when Rosell and Barto was in charge, went very silent then, until it was clear as they those two are idiots.

Thank Waporta for signing Flick, getting us 2 league in 3 years and putting our finances back in good shape after Rosell and Barto ruined us.

Wrong every single time and keeps repeating the same nonsense every freaking year.

Absolutely No shame, but he's not the only one.

How's life in the jungle? Still fighting for Xavi and enjoying re-runs of magical football and the average points trophies?

I think Lenglet is good as sub

In football manager sometimes I get old players who can’t be sold but in that case you keep them and make use of them as rotational players until contracts expire.

Hes 29 years old I think we should have done that rather than pay him to leave.
