You can only make that statement assuming that Oshimen would have given up a lot of money to play for Barca. That's speculation. What we do know is that Saudi Arabia offered him much more than 15 million net (I think around 30-40 million net) and he turned it down for Galatasaray. At the time we bought Lewandowski, he didn't have a release clause yet and he would have cost at least 100 million. So, the amortization of 20 million plus a 30 million gross salary( even if just 20 gross it would be higher)is higher than the 10 million plus 26 million for Lewandowski.

We would have cost well over 100m then tbh, consider he was younger & the hype was bigger.

Probably around 120m -130

They sold him for 75m now, when no one else in Europe wanted him.

Back then at least another club would have tried for him, but non did primarily because they know Napoli Is kind of like spurs, you will pay top dollar

There is absolutely no chance whatsoever Oshimen was 120m in 2022.

They signed him for 78m euros.

They were definitely going to take 20m on top of that to sell on of the best young strikers in Europe. Or better yet sell him for 85m.

Napoli.

Been over this..

It was vasylty inflated deal for FFP with players going both ways.

That then puts him as higher burden on books also.

You dont have a single clue as per usual.

He literally had scored 24 league goals in 2 seasons and was not rated as was a year later.

Keep up.

Likes of Krava had far more standing for Napoli by time he was sold than Oshimen in 2022 and went for a lot less than '120m'.

I see that some people are now praising Oshimen—the new hero........ And of course, Lewandowski is hopeless. So Sirloth isn't your hero anymore? Lewandowski was a very good decision by Barca. At number nine, stability and the ability to utilize that number nine are paramount—Guardiola understands this by keeping Haland. And how do midfielders and wingers utilize Lewandowski? Yamal plays in his own way, De Jong moves as slow as molasses in January , weakness on the wings, and only few runs and deliveries into the penalty area. - so how can expect any goals? So I am sure thay you'll miss Lewandowski in the future......

Lewa unable to press is an issue.

Lewa unable to dribble is an issue.

Lewa unable to run in behind is an issue.

Lewa unable to hold up ball and take game up park... is an issue.

But never mind he has a good record in La Liga even if have won more and scored more without him in the league wins and won a double with Lewa missing and beat Ateltico away and Real in final.

Never mind all that he will probably score v Alaves if get ball in box enough.

Nah.

The issues with Lewandowksi is not that he shit the bed and was a man down v Chelsea.

That can happen.

The issue with Lewa is things he cannot do even on his best day as legs wont allow it.

Frenkie was hot and cold and poor overall... Lewa was just an utter irrelevance.

No need to be overly negative. PSG barely qualified last year, no?
City, Liverpool lost as well yesterday.

Not to mention result is skewed by that ref card.
Very true

But this is Barça, after 3-0 loss in a big European game everybody goes crazy, no matter the circumstances

Maybe this is just how it should be. Team indeed needs to improve. We destroyed ourselves in this game - missed easy chance, then scored a stupid own goal and then a stupid red card. But that shouldn't happen in big games, every top team takes advantage of everything they can
