People thought Liverpool and Barca were the best teams in the world a year a go at this point in the season and that didn't matter at all in the spring.

After yesterday's games, I see Liverpool as a dark horse to win CL this season.

Slot has found a very hard to break down system (4-diamond-2 or 4-2-2-2), which suits their current players.
They outnumber their opponents in md, take control of the game, first priority not to concede then to score

Won away impressively at Inter and Marseille like that, drew at the Emirates despite outplaying Arsenal.
(they won't be in contention for the league as well. That's always an advantage for QFs and SFs)

We will see how things pan out in the KOs for everyone.

Newcastle and PSG are pitted against each other, so if Barca wins, they are instantly above at least one team.

and I will bet my bollox that Spurs wont win their last game, the history tells me so.

I just dont like the NFL format, thought 8 groups of 4 was much simpler and normal.
