Won't be Morocco for certain. Spain are hosting in majority.

It's similar to 2026 WC, why not Estadio Azteca in Mexico City, the largest? Well, Mexico is.... _________ (fill the blank). I'll tell you - not developed country.

Laporta confirmed that the roof will go up in the middle of 2027 which seems like a realistic target for once. My prediction is that we'll probably finish the season 26/27 in CN, start the roof instalation in the summer, play at Montjuic the first half of the season 27/28 and return for good to CN in the winter.

Damn, still a long way to go until fully finished.

Third tier will be unavailable until roof is fully finished, correct?
Can be wrong, but I think there is no official intormation about it. To open the third stand, it would require not only to finish the stand itself and the floor, but also the stairs and lifts leading to them and this doesn't look like a priority for now.
The focus now is finishing the 0.5 floor where the museum will be located, all interior works, VIP rings, ceramic cover of the first tier and progressing the compression ring. So even if they could open it before the roof, it won't be until late of next season most likely.

But the overall timeline is still okay if compared to Madrid's stadium. Bernabeu was expected to be finished in 2022 and they're still doing the last touch ups. It's still not completely finished, 4 years after the timeline, despite Perez leading Spain's construction world.

From my understanding Barca will have to move back to Montjuic once roof construction is due. No point in licensing third tier to cause delays.

This was discussed recently, roof phase is projected for summer 2027 into fall where 3-4 months of a return to Olympic stadium is in the cards. Of course Laporta spoke about it today and implies a move back to Olympic stadium may not be necessary, so we’ll see - I hope we never play there again, even temporarily

We don’t plan to return to Montjuïc because it can be arranged in conjunction with the La Liga and Champions League schedules, if we qualify. I think it can be coordinated well.

It's insane how many Ls Madrid has taken with this stadium, yet we rarely hear about them.

If this was the camp nou, just the sport dailys would be hyper critical, not to mention the Madrid media.

I had no idea the underground parking wouldn't be built.

It would be insane if FIFA choose them for the WC final. Over the camp nou or Morocco
We don't have to go that far. If this was camp nou, our resident experts in politics and construction would be throwing a tantrum all over the forum, like little kids. But but Laportaaaa you fat fucking fuck.

Three times more expensive and 4 years longer than planned and the other legal shit and problems. All of this under the leadership of construction god Perez, not some shady Turkish company! Imagine the comments if it was the Camp Nou

Well, what Florentino did was turn Bernabeu into an unusable concert venue for additional revenue. 30m across the street residents can't stand Taylor Swift.

The noise issue is related to the closed roof which Real applies to amplify the atmosphere inside. Since sound bounces back from hard surfaces, the waves escape through the gaps of the metal facade and stream directly to the residents in the district. I remember one reddit post during the Bayern 1/2 CL game in 2024, they closed the roof and in the upper stands it got unbearable due to higher decibels.

The narrower seating is also a stupid idea. It gained just 2100 in capacity, didn't make Bernabeu the largest stadia and fans are experiencing discomfort with that.

I believe Barca are unlikely to face those problems. Seating is just fine, the stadium is in a larger space and the roof is non-retractable.
