You're a hopeless optimist. Worse than me

Only the first two stands from the old structure remained, but were refurbished and modernized. The third stand and the surrounding area are completely rebuilt. If you want a comparison in pictures, just google old Camp Nou and watch the current construction work on Youtube to see the massive changes. There are a few Youtubers following the construction work daily and show it in detail. For someone that has never been to Camp Nou, what are the biggest changes you can see, what are the best changes, and what has changed when it comes to seatings? has the slope changed? less concrete? more "modern" materials used? more guard rails?
Or is it mostly the same skeleton with new seatings?
Yes, Barcelona owning so much space around the stadium allows them to build the entire espai. That's a luxury most clubs don't have. Bayern for example built their stadium on a former garbage dump site on the edge of Munich. Madrid's stadium is squeezed into the city like a tin can.Exterior space outside of Camp Nou was always a big deal. When you look at most other important stadiums, they are cramped as shite, due to limited real estate available.
Sight lines were important for me in any renovation because the first two gradas were fantastic in Camp Nou (I try to get seats in the 1st tier lateral or tribuna sections) and these have been improved with the project even though the orientation hasn’t changed (seats & obstructions addressed that improve sight lines)
Camp Nou in terms of interior & viewing was always great but it was showing signs of wear & tear throughout and simply wasn’t modern enough (especially the concessions and food services which will be dramatically upgraded).
I also think you can’t discount the surrounding area around Camp Nou as part of the Espai Barça - they planned to make it more uniform and improve the exterior experience around the stadium which was always too disconnected
I think I remain most curious about the effect that roof will have on the experience since it has always been an open air stadium — I hope that feel doesn’t change
