Exactly what I was going to say.

Large buildings dont get shut down every time safety legislation gates changed and doesnt comply.

Regardless this doesnt show that anyway all it shows is one narrow exit.

Barca spent 25m for Montjuic renovations back in 2023. And now this is how the Barcelona municipality repays us.

I'm curious how much Betis are paying for La Cartuja. Side quest, but probably a fraction of the cost.

To put on my unbiased hat though, that building site and cranes with daily works looks like a safety hazard for matchdays.

We should seriously do the numbers, and blitz through to all the structures being completed before moving back.

Secure elections, move back to Camp Nou and maybe leave it a season or two before finishing the roof and cosmetics in off season.

Can't be arsed about it. For me opening at 27k is not some big deal. At 60k things are starting to get serious indeed. Work is advancing faster if no games, as well. Financially also, it is odd to say 27k stadium is better than double the capacity on Montjuic.

Montjuic is fine for the time being. Focus on getting 60k ready for february 2026. Finish the metal part, mount all of the alveolar placques... plenty of heavy work to do.

Just can't get excited for 27k capacity when we can use a 55k stadium. Don't see much of the benefit. The aim should be to accelerate as much as possible to make 60k possible for CL knockouts. Now that is gonna make a big difference vs Montjuic.

I guess because the cost of renting Montjuic and owning Camp Nou, Camp Nou still profits more from 27k seats? Maybe ticket prices are higher and other sales.

It doesn't sound like a big deal, but they must have calculated it's more profitable. Otherwise there would be no urgency to move so fast.
