It’s a political proxy fight, plain & simple - not even well disguised

Massagué claiming issues with barriers & signs

Pointing to one minor detail after another will go on ad nauseum to achieve the goal of delaying re-opening as long as possible to undermine club/Laporta and strengthen his adversaries for the election in June

But it seems it will only hurt them, because based on these comments public opinion sees these are all nit picking delays and this assume their must be an ulterior motive.

I read though most of the comments, the majority all seem to be angry at the situation, laporta bringing the media in, is helping the club in the court of public opinion, they can see for themselves and delaying a opening due to signage is ridiculous, a sign can literally go up in a few minutes, a day at most.

Exactly the reason they have nothing to gain.

Was already said it works against them in public opinion and they are elected.

Makes no sense for them to delay it to hurt Laporta and to take the risk of involving so many on their side that could refuse to go along with it and blow it all open losing them their jobs at best.

No one 'can see for themselves' what is being checked off and why.

If a sign can go up in minutes then more fool them for failing the inspection on something so basic.

We'll see, apathy has a tendency to prevail in politics generally

Depends on motivation, if you are informed, you will be incensed by 'cules' looking to undermine the club for a power grab in the next election - even in a democracy, you have to be weary of a world where corporate whores try to consolidate power/money and hopefully cules will remember when it is time to vote

But we also live in an age where fake news & misinformation helps drive that divide - on merit, these candidates do not have a chance against Laporta but they will double down on pushing the fake news agenda

We've seen this film starring both Rosell & Bartomeu, Font using same script

Don't overlook that the head of the Fire Department is Sebastià Massagué, former Mossos head, who cites signs and barriers/fences issues. He is a career civil servant who was sacked for the second time in 2024, ergo you can be a civil servant and at the same time be a trusted appointee of the politician in power, who, if you don’t follow their guidelines, can replace you with someone else whenever they want

But not political at all . Some people must be living in a Disney film rather than the world around us

Some would believe that trump lost 60+ court cases including in front of judges he appointed, because the deep state threatened their families.

But for politics to be involved in a stadium rebuild and permits in Spain.

That's a bridge too far for them.

Fantasy land.

As if the council and mayor just decided to screw over Barca on the stadium... whats the claim? They all got together and decided this to screw over Laporta and not one of them refused and blew it wide open by going public? They all just agreed.

Then they went to the inspectors and the citys fire department and told them they had to fail the inspection even though stadium actually passes.

All of those people agreed to go along with this 'operation hurt Laporta' and none of them refused and blew it wide open by going public.

Folk will believe any old shite.

Same folk that believed Limak would be paying Barca 1m a day.
