The lad seems to have come out of nowhere. Will probably be a decent player but 90m is madness.
Stuttgart got him for free last summer from Werder Bremen. Wasn't registered in the CL because nobody thought he would be useful there. Started to play more by the end of first season's half, before that he either didn't play at all or just a couple of minutes.

Played a good U21 Euros and decent performance in the DFB cup. That's more or less it. And he transfers for fucking 90 m after being a free agent from mighty Werder Bremen last season. Insane what hype does to a player and what English clubs do with their money. Bayern's interest over the summer played a big part for his hype.

His manager, last year having a mediocre Bundesliga player transfering for free, gets now 9m in provisions alone for him. Madness. He won the lottory with him.

Are I first watched him as few minutes here and there at under Euros in summer. It really is a bolt from the blue. Thanks for more information.

Ten Hag managed a 3:3 draw against mighty Werder Bremen, after leading 3:1 and Bremen having one player less. Odds are good he'll be the first coach to get sacked. Leverkusen will definitely not wait that long as United did.

Diaz missed that. Thankfully we had no money to buy him......

They should have signed a proven La liga winning coach instead of this bald Dutch fraud. :xavi:

German media already speculates, that ten Hag will be sacked during the international break after just 2 games
Their pre-season was also really bad.

It's a mix between ten Hag being a bad coach and Leverkusen's expectations have risen with Alonso. They lost many starting players, but they also bought some expensive players. They definitely expect more than losing to Hoffenheim and drawing Werder Bremen who were a player down.

He's on 5 G/A in 3 games. Still too early to jump to conclusions but so far he's been good. I've watched all his Bayern games, he seems to have good chemistry with Kane.

German media report Ten Hag gonna be sacked today. Gonna be a new record after 2 games
But the problems are obviously deeper. They had a bad pre-season, Ten Hag argued over the whole summer with their sportsdirector, gave controversial press-conferences which players to keep, which to buy, contrary to what Leverkusen was willing to do. Like when Rolfes said Xhaka could leave, Ten Hag gave a statement he must stay and more of such kind. There is no unity with him.
Also the players feel lost with his tactical approach, the captain said after the game against Bremen they didn't know what to do on the pitch.

Looks like Ten Hag is really difficult to work with.
