Is there another clinical scorer like Lewa playing these days?

I think Halaand is one, maybe Mbappe. But I can't seem to think of a tapin merchant/box beast like these three. Not even bringing CR7 in this.

A big reason why, barring any noteworthy injuries, there's no reason not to consider extending Lewy another year...even at his age, he's still a beast and fits this team like a glove

Would he be happy cashing a small check as a rotational goalscorer or get obscene cash in the gulf - I think it'll be more his motivation and whether the club will be willing to continue his high salary

I dont think there is another player other than these three who can do that, and be a 30+ goal ST.

I maybe wrong, but there isn't one that even comes close to being a pure tapin merchant.
One of the reasons why, I want to see Raphina being tried at that spot. I cant seem to find a player so clinical in front of the goal.

I may be reading into this too much.

But didn't we get linked to Etta Eyong right around the time Fermin rumours started to pop off?

Eyong has played a bit of CAM. Could be a decent option for rotation along with Raphinha, Gavi, Dro & Toni. While also being a candidate for the ST position for the future.

Honestly, I don't mind this.

If we had scouts this is exactly what kind of striker we should look for. The market for top strikers doesn't exist and we don't have money anyway. Search for the next best thing for small money and hope Ferran/Lewa can produce for another season or two.

He is almost 22 and is having his first year in top division this season. 46 games in 4th division, 30 in 3rd division and 1 in Segunda along 7 in La Liga.

This is a Pau Victor career trajectory, he might end different but this isn't a guy we expect to hit big.

And for the striker market, those who are "the next big thing" are usually well known to almost everyone from the start and plenty of clubs have interest in them. It is why average players go for insane money in this position.

Endrick went for how much before he barely got a first team minutes?

Reality is barely anyone has seen much of this player bar what can see on highlights.

To me those highlights dont look impressive and mainly scrappy tap ins. Not showing much power/dribbling or variety to game.

But small sample.

The fact Villareal sell a striker in recent summers for decent money is def playing into the interest in him and the upside of a gamble.

Eyong link is an odd one, especially the comparisons to Samu which is ridiculous - he shares only country of origin with Eto'O, not playing style

Looks a versatile but raw & industrious attacker that doesn't seem to stand out in any one area...physically he has a frame that makes it a challenge to mark but wouldn't say he's a traditional #9 with his back to goal or even a classic box poacher. Associative attacker with strength & skill to ride through challenges and link to teammates

Burt a forward like this who hadn't really stood out previously may be peaking rather than on the ascendency. May be a low cost with high reward potential ala Roony
