This will be our LW signing for the summer, calling it now.

Deco disregarded all other targets bar Diaz; an impossible quest as Liverpool will now demand every euro of that 85mil asking price after Wirtz cost them so much.

I think we can sign a player in the 60 million range again this summer, not including the goal keeper.

Which is why I think they keyed in on Diaz, they thought they could get him for that number or below, plus is wages are reasonable.

If they don't get him they'll probably sign someone on loan.

But they should just get some extra cash, take a L on the wages and sign NICOOOO.

Perisic is not that much worse than any of the mentioned. Rushy, Diaz, Nico, Leao. Age is a concern though. Some are laughing and I was surprised at rumours last summer but having seen him recover from injury and shine for PSV now I have to applaud whoever in Barca saw in him what I did not. He would have been useful to us under Flick.

One thing that is a major plus is he would come for free and play for small wages. Other important thing is he can play on both sides of the pitch and both as winger and wing back. Last player like this was Cancelo and we could have used him as option many times this season had we found room in ffp.

Get Perisic as backup, spend practically nothing and we still have room to get a striker and cb.

Nico, Diaz - these are questionable options for one reason or another. Leao, Rashford - these are not players for Flick's system. Absolutely not. Two lazy asses. So, given that there are no good options for the LW position on the market right now, why not take Perisic for one season?

Why even look at grandpas?

Use the money to get an LCB/LB

Grimaldo wasn't expected but would welcome his return, is Ratiu truly out of the picture - I would not want to count on Eric as a backup to Jules

With Ansu presumably exiting next, there are 2 FFP issues to still resolve

1) Mats' FFP impact, will be key in light of Garcia acquisition - surely Laporta has a plan considering the very proactive initiative to go for him. We'll have to trust the strategy even if it looks challenging from outside

2) Frenkie's renewal is a big consideration in terms of FFP as well and this too will have impact on remaining summer moves

It's a good idea as depth was an issue last season but would come at the expense of a few of the B team players who are meant to vie for a spot in the rotation - especially Guille, Toni & Juan
