Arthur

He needs time to adapt first before he performs at a High Level.

It took Neymar a full season to come to grips with Europe as well. Also not really surprising going by some of your previous posts on here that you weren't even high on Arthur in the first place. It comes off as someone wanting him to struggle and immediately scream "SEE I TOLD YOU SO" claiming he's nothing more than the second coming of Lucas Leiva.

This applies to all young players, not simply Arthur. No matter which player we sign, young or old, he has to perform and be a challenger to the starters. He cant be a passenger for years in some sort of "long term project". I support signing Arthur so you are dead wrong, by the way. Arthur, De Jong, Aouar, these type of players are needed to rejuvenate our midfield. But for sure, they have to perform early on. Not signed as long term passengers. Neymar for sure wasnt a bench riding passenger who played a few Copa games. Perhaps he didnt live up to the expectations some had, but thats something entirely different.

He's coming from a different league and someone who never played in Europe in his life.

It's going to take some time for him to get going before we can see the best out of him. Heck it took Rakitic awhile to get going and adapted here at Barcelona as well and he was 26 years old and a Veteran at Sevilla. Some players can adapt quick but others need time before they can perform at a High Level.

No one has said anything else. If he performs like Rakitc, Ney etc in his first year, thats very far from being a passenger.

Can't wait to come in this thread to read complaints about him 'passing sideways' like they do with Thiago because people don't understand how possession football works.

This could be a real wildcard signing.

Then there is the matter of Valverde being a complete pussy who will be scared to play him.

zidane having the guts to drop james rodriguez for an unproven casemiro won them 3 ucls in a row. this coward is the complete opposite and will probably field the exact same starting lineup this season as he did last year
