Although I have been a big critic of Don playing from Left-Wing, he has been pretty good there this season.

However .....we all saw how devastating he can be in his preferred CM role, and moving him out of position to accommodate an average :cesc: is a fat No-No!

He has been much better in his free role on the left than as a CM. Pretty good? He has been spectacular there and is constantly giving MoM performances. Its laughable to suggest that he is playing out of position. He is not. He thrives in this free role with less defensive responsibilities.

He's playing great but his full potential is in midfield. Case and point he has 3 goals this season and only 50 in his Barca career. He's not the person we want on the end of an attack. With the 4 man midfield it leaves only 2 goalscorers on the pitch, Neymar and Messi. Le'ts go 4-3-3 at the Calderon with Pedro playing to add a 3rd reliable goalscorer to the mix.

He has performed superbly on the right. This obsession with wanting to see Iniesta as a CM regardless of actual performance is really interesting. No matter how many average games he has a CM and no matter how many Man of the Match performances he has in a free role on the wings with less defensive responsibilites.

Iniesta on the wings gives us more unpredictability as the midfield is able to get into more goal scoring chances. Spain always played Iniesta on the left, never as CM.

iniesta can play on both sides well and the middle. its not a question but it he hasn't played there in ages it might not be best to just start doing it now.
