Again with overrating Liverpool and their genius Edwards.

Such a well run club with the best staff and still all they have to show is one CL and two PLs.

After the summer they had, they can't even make the excuse anymore of others spending much more than them.

One of their big transfers will flop, that I am 100% sure.

If Liverpool buy Isak and the other kid, then I want to hear 0 about Liverpool the under dawgs and how smart the sporting department is.

The fact that they are spending for the first time in I don't know how many years doesn't make their sporting department NOT smart.
Indeed, super-smart business even with buys from the top shelf

PS: the exact opposite of the business that idiotic moron Xavi did with the lever-money in 2022.
What a way to waste the only money we had the last 5 years with moronic transfer decisions

Thanks for reminding me of kessie another good signing that summer and great business.

Clueless again?

Not his fault of course, but Kessie was nowhere near the level required and looked like a lost child here.
Scored at least that Classico winner.
Thanks for the memories pal

Imagine for a second if another team spent 300+m on transfers what birdie would say.

We don't have to, it's posted all over the forum lol.

But when Liverpool and Edwards do it, it's super smart. Lol.

It does seem like Isak what's to go to Liverpool though.

Mean while Barca went a few years without being able to spend, did what they had to in 2022, and from that window signed.

One of the best RB in the world
One of the best wingers in the world.
Still one of the best strikers in the world.
Plus Christensen.

Build one of the top 5 teams in Europe.

Birdie, nah that's nothing special, spending 120m on wirtz is 😂.

We got those 3 players for around 30m more than that.

Those were meh signings sporting- and financially-wise in the only summer we were allowed to spend

- Christensen was the only wise choice (0m spent), which was not Xavi's (surprise surpise! the wisest choice in the lever-summer was not one requested by Xavi)
But then injuries caught him, so there are question-marks there as well
- Lewa was in WC form for 4 months until the World Cup in Qatar, then he faded into retirement. The worst money spent that summer
- Kounde was and still is underwhelming for 50m fee and 14m gross wages!!
- Rapha was underwhelming under Xavi, with only Flick coming to revive his career.

Also, to remind you that the same summer, Mr 'pretend-to-be-an-SD' Xavi also bought:
- Marcos fucking Alonso
- Kessie
- Bellerin
Hope you all agree that's 0/3

In retrospect, if that idiot that destroyed our lever-money, Xavi was not around, and Flick was around,
which of these do you think we WOULD and SHOULD have bought?
Personally, only Raphina
Atp you’re trying to write things for some hidden agenda.

Lewandowski was a great signing and if scoring 100 goals in 3 seasons is retirement than idk what to tell you, now I’m not justifying his horrid 2nd season and some big games this season, but when we needed a scorer he was there, against Bayern, against Madrid, against Atletico and against Dortmund.

Kounde was a pretty great defender in his first season and was one of the main reasons why we only conceded 20 goals in that entire 22/23 LaLiga title winning season, although 2nd season he was ravaged by injuries and bad form. He was revitalised under Flick and truly became an all round great right back and now forms a great partnership with Lamine, as his playmaking and attacking ability got better week by week during that season.

Raphinha in his first season was a very crucial player in our LaLiga winning campaign, scoring crucial goals against Osasuna away, against Bilbao away, against Valencia at home and many other occasions. In his 2nd season, he was ravaged by injuries and didn’t really explode until the PSG game where we nearly single handedly took us to the semi finals, nothing more to be said about his 3rd season, where he was failed by his teammates in Milan and his goal should’ve been the one to take us to our first UCL final in 10 years. Ballon d’Or winning campaign.

All 3 were great signings and with the exception of 23/24 which was a year where no one in the club performed well besides Fermin, they did well in their 1st and 3rd seasons for the most part.

Christensen was also pretty great in his first 2 seasons but injuries destroyed him and I hope he improves and maybe starts playing more in 25/26.

Kessie was a reliable player and scored arguably the goal that won us LaLiga in that March’s El Clasico.

So in total, in the summer of 2022, from the 8 transfers we did that summer, they all were relatively great players for the club and successes for the most part.

Yeah bro I agree, it’s not like these signings were the main reason we won 2 LaLiga titles in 3 years and helped us win our first ever domestic treble, and and and and 2 minutes away from our first UCL final in 10 years even when both of our full backs and main striker were injured, in a very very very thin squad.
