As of present circumstances Barcelona are willing to go upto 60 million plus add ons to ensure the signature of Robert Lewandowski. Barcelona board believe that this signing will boost their project and be at the centre of the club. Bayern are internally open to selling Lewandowski but want to ensure funds close to 65 million in total.

Wtf?! This is crazy.

Ridiculous to be going after this many old players when have too many at core of team already.

Short term thinking when coach/board know what can happen if dont win immediately.

When these levers are going to be putting Barca at a disadvantage of 70/80m a season of revenue then need to be looking for longer term deals on player that dont need replaced in a few years.

At this rate will be looking for a LB, a RB, DM, CF again in next few years. Can add a CB to that if they sign Koulibaly.

Should be trying to spend money now on players that can peak together.

oh come on man, this is what we are talking about; for 65 we even include Bouna Sarr since Barca needs a WB

No way we will go up to 60m not even paying that news any mind, lewa can he good signing at 35-40m assuming he is the only player over 30 we sign, as I said in a different trend, we need to sign young players, too many old heads here already


But lewa for 60m. Ha! That's not happening.

If Barca pay 50m+ for him wait for the headlines...

The club/media will put out some message that great bartering with Man Utd increased fee by 15/20m for FDJ and covered the overpayment of original Lewa offer.

All I'm saying is, Xavi is burning his excuses if he doesn't compete next season.

If we were rebuilding and didn't sell these assets, he'd have been cut plenty of slack. But they have sold significant assets, and with this money he and the board are going after old veterans and not thinking about the future - so the only reasonable expectation is success now.

That is how they have inclined themselves. They are adding to the risk of selling such valuable assets even more by going for broke with veterans, and not players with long-term value.

No excuses about the squad next season. This is how they have chosen to spend the money so they better bring results.
