Not the ball comes off he defenders toe quite clearly.

Pedri was trying to flick it over his leg but defender touched it onto his shin then hit foot.

It changes the trajectory completely from Pedri flicking it over his leg to bouncing onto Pedris shin and down onto his foot.

Not deliberate.

Again it is why the defender was mad after it.

The ball is clearly on the same trajectory as when he started the move. I don't think the defender touched the ball, but even if he did, which I don't belive he did, it still remained in the same trajectory. Maybe just sped up for a millisecond, but that's it. And he clearly meant to control it with his shin, or else he wouldn't have made the move in that trajectory,

So my analysis stays true.

No, he wanted to chip it, and it bounced from defender against his shin pad. He almost rolled his ankle ffs if the ball was 5 cm more on the left when you watch the clip.

At end of it he adjusts well to situation but it was fortunate bounce that pissed off the defender.

Whether defender hit it or not is not even that relevant. Sometimes executions just work out really well and maybe a lot of other times didn’t. Those that didn’t obviously won’t go viral.

Its admirable how he handled the situation, ithink its pretty much it from this, not some god divine skill he produced. People need to stop glorifying every single shit someone does.

Lamine nutmeg was pure filth for example, but his awareness was off so other defender intercepted it and he lost the ball. But it was technically skill that only few could do, and thats a more of a story then this
