If Fermin goes wouldnt be surprised if Ferran is used at AM/Second striker at times against weaker sides.

Would have him there every day of the week ahead of Gavi if it is the 10/AM role if the choice of the two is there as he will hit the goals/asissts Flick wants from front 4 more than Gavi can. While Gavi need to be allowed to settle into deeper role anyway.

It already happens a bit when Barca chase goals and go Ferran and Lewa both on and get balls into box.

Other options being Raphinha AM, more minutes for Dro/Guille/Toni and little change to other players roles, or midfield changes and Gavi comes in more with Yamal coming more central and RB getting forward more.

Obviously Olmo would be first choice but after him what options there are.

There are many emergency solutions behind Olmo (with Fermin gone) but I'm not really a fan of any of them. Gavi, Ferran, Raphinha, Pedri all options but none convince me as #10, especially Raphinha and Pedri who already have clear roles where they excel in the XI. They shouldn't be moved.

We cannot count on Olmo over a full season until he plays a full season. Should assume he is going to miss several weeks in a row, and when fit rarely play 90 mins. Flick will need a solution ready on the table if we sell Fermin.

What are you talking about here? Ferran being our starting 9?

I'm done with this club if that happens. Might as well watch cricket or darts.
Barca can barely sign even Roony amd Tek. You really think Barca can drop 120m on a striker next summer and not have the same issue? This isn't going away and thats why I think Ferran will likely be the #9 or maybe they even re-sign Lewa for 1 more year.
