I am more focused on his development than actual level.

His skills on ball are improving rapidly. But needs to prove his crossing in upcoming games.

This start of season for him seems most promising compared to last ones.

Crossing needs to improve,but like I've said, he was always more of a dribble and cut back guy in the box and even then his crossing is getting better

You two are blinded by nostalgia. The game simply did not produce fullbacks with the same athletic and dribbling ability that Balde has in the past. In the past, you were a Neville as a fullback. The likes of Cafu, Carlos were really really rare in that part of the pitch. To call Balde a fraud is just ridiculous.

Barca left backs better than this chump:

- Maxwell
- Adriano

I can make a list of at least 20 players that played LB in the last 20 years that are better than him.

GVB and Sylvinho were not better LBs than Balde and wont go down as having better Barca careers.

Abidal and Alba yes for now and he has a long way to go to be on their level.

Nuno Mendes and Davies are clear and then have a group of many from the ones he cant get ahead of for Spain to many others.

That is literally what the comparison was based on and the argument from those believing he is top is current level anyway.

He was decent. Never great.

Would put Balde closer to being one top LBs in world now than GVB was and would have a far bigger pool of teams in for him if available than GVB would have also at any time.

That Dutch side went close to winning WC but wasnt full of top players either.

Will be hard press to find a better left back, who can pretty much be the teams entire life wing, since he got promoted.

Not many is a asked to do what he does for their club, most have a winger to play off, he rarely does

Mendes isn't ask to do that as an example, he plays the role more close to a traditional LB, he plays almost like carvajal in a sense.

I think he will take the next step when he isn't ask to be almost 80+% of the teams width on his side, not a shot at flick or Xavi, but I wonder how much different he would look playing for PSG and Mendes for us.
