21 - Frenkie de Jong

Yeah, leader who puts others first as proven when he asked to be left on the bench and other player to be subbed in.
Rallies players around him and never shrinks from a challenge.

Tell me again about Frenkie the leader who earns more than Pedri, Lamine, Raphinha and would leave in a heartbeat if not guaranteed starter or without being paid second highest wages.

Gotta admit though, some unknown guy from B team who was never supposed to play last season convinced me a lot and almost managed dislodged Frenkie as starter. Now that would have been an epic embarrassment.
Aye, Casado more of a leader too. Would stay guaranteed nothing and for fraction of the Frankie pay.

Loyatly = giving back money owed. Top stuff.

Casado being better than Gavi by a long way last season was fairly embarrasing to be fair.

But Gavi will be ahead this season.

Neither ahead of Frenkie as it stands and rightfully so.

Raphinha acutally wanted to leave when he thought Xavi did not rate him as regular starter.. while Frenkie rejected that and wanted to stay and fight for it when seemed Xavi could think that way.

Try again with those 'knock out' blows.

I'll never forget how Frenkie pretended to be a cule when he was at Ajax but was on the brink of signing for Qatar until Barto gave him his first huge contract here. He's a good player but not a legend, he'll have to do a lot to become that for me.

He was on brink of signing there as Barca had barely even made a concrete approach.

That has nothing to do with being a 'cule' or not and that is not how players make major decisions either.

Pedri was would have been at Real if passed his trial beore Barca made approach.. doesnt make him any less 'cule'. Whatever people want to take that to even mean.

Legend?.

Will never be that for Barca, Rakitic has more of a case for that and he's not one.

He'll be remembered as a good player that did a job for us.

'Wont be a legend'.

Long way from 'Casado is better and Frenkie is on his way out'.

Of the current team Cubarsi, Pedri and Yamal are best set to be legends due to age and years have ahead of them.

Frenkie has the best chemistry with Pedri in midfield, but also his injury-proneness complicate matters. His current contract is already great for somebody who have not been at disposal for a full season. Reduced salary is out of question and I'm optimistic with the new agent a deal can be secured. Firing his former agent is giving those vibes.

He has only once played less than 40 games in a season for Barca to be fair and bar that ankle injury they rushed him back for hasnt been all that injury prone at Barca or Ajax.

Maybe that ankle could flare up again who knows.

I don't even have to try hard.

Jamdav post from this very day where he tried to take a piss at Casado:

The team clearly took an upturn in quality when FDJ came back fit.

They had struggled to win a game in league in months prior to that and were getting scudded 3-1 away to Benfica etc.

Shame he forgot that, ironically, against same Benfica Frenkie lost the challenge in center of midfield, didnt bother to track back and Cubarsi ended up having to make that last ditch tackle that warranted a red card.

Too easy. Carry on.

Try hard written all over it.

Against Benfica he was probably fouled and lost header to CF... Pedri then made feeble challenge to knock ball back and player was through.

Then went on to play very well as Barca won 1-0 against 10 men as Pedri and FDJ controlled the game against 11.

Gavi and Casado v Benfica a few weeks prior? Awful with 11 men and being beaten 3-1 until FDJ came on.
