If he reduces his salary, barca would register more players, barca is competive, competitive means throphies. Its not that hard to see what they are offering. And he, obviously like it here. So, help the club, more players gets involved more chances to get throphies, and most of all he'd become like a higher human at camp nou, he's already likeable guy, with this he would be idolized. And barca is cooking right now so i see exactly why he doesnt want to move.

As for that gary neville moaning, keep it coming. He already proved his value when he said that barca could never put 5 past his team, so he got 7 and a sack note. Eat shit neville, cry some more, with those redcafe schmucks.

He's right tho. He would become a bit of a martyr and if he also delivers on the field, he will become super popular as he is really likable guy already. And yes, Barca is "cooking". Think many understand that, which is why all these players want to come here instead of muh best league in da world.

One would have thought this bum Gary Neville would have learned some humility after being thrashed 7-0 by Barca (with a hat-trick for Messi and a poker by Suarez).

I still haven't forgotten how he celebrated the Chelsea goals v us in 2012 while in live commentary, the little rat.

He likes the city a lot, he loves the prestige of being a Barca player, of course in addition to the the wealth he amasses as professional footballer.
It's part of the new millionaire athlete mentality, which hates B tier teams and B tier cities.
He is even willing to take a pay cut to not lose that

Then, there is a fine line between being a professional footballer and wanting to have a career and being a rich kid spoiled by money and good life.
Frenkie hasn't crossed the line yet, but if he keeps prioritizing life over his career, he will cross it soon
