We could have probably been able to skip Olmo transfer AND selling Fermin and still have talent in the Fernadez's and Dro taking over, but they would need minutes they can't get at the moment.

Those players are not close to being at level of Olmo or Fermin currently is the reality.

Dro lacks a bit physically and Guille makes far too many bad decisions.

They are still learning/developing.

If he beefs up and he/Toni/Guille prove themselves this season then absolutely Olmo or Fermin dependent on who was not first choice needs to go.

Sure, I'm not disagreeing. BUT, there's no way Dro or any of the Fernandez or even Roony for that matter to get any minutes with Olmo and Fermin - Flick will play Shark and/or Raphinha in that position long before the youngsters would get minutes.... That's like 4 fucking players for 1 position before Dro or Fernadez's get to see any minutes. That's why I wasn't against selling Fermin... dude is a lion and scores some crazy goals etc but we have to look forward.

And Fermin developed how? By getting some playing time - Dro/Fernadez won't with 4-5 players ahead of them in 1 position they could play. And Flick won't play them on the wings "a la" Iniesta and/or Villa - Flick wants "real" wingers and not some CAM bs.

Dude, I'm not going into when of those infamous JamDav death-spirals to the bottom of sanity and beyond. You got damn well understand players need minutes with a "full" squad" to develop - many players from Masia could be better overall than total output of Olmo, but they won't get a chance since Flick would rather play 4 other players ahead of them. Imo, neither Fermin nor Olmo overall are "Barca quality" - sell and promote...

Yes and he performed there and developed.

He then got chance when performed in pre season.

Fermin doing that at 20 doesnt mean every 17 year old is ready. It has no real relevance.

We should give dro, fernandez time in training to learn from flick and then in winter or next summer loan that to a segunda team for one season. They are far away from playing regularly.
This olmo hate is just nonsense, he was great last season when he played, and this season lasts for 3 games, wait a few weeks bevore you judge him.

They are 17 and still raw in different ways.

Not at all, he has been as good as invisible and deserves every bit of criticism. He is playing far below the standard required and has done so for quite some time.
