16 - Fermín López

Selling him or not is such an interesting dilemma for me personally. Fermin has the tenacity and running power to force his way with things, along with the ability to find space and shoot. With him it almost seems like goals come from nowhere sometimes, and that in itself is a very valuable piece to have in a squad. However, he's so inconsistent and often the moments of impact are backpacked with stretches of technical deficiencies and him getting lost in the moment of matches. I truly don't know if I want to sell him or not. Obviously he's no KDB or Bruno but for his age, La Masia background/education and current level of impact I would only sell for a huge fee, and even then I'd do it a little disappointed.

His goal/assist output is very decent - every 136th minute played over the last two seasons - comparably Gavi needs 450 minutes for every assist or goal - in roughly 38 full matches the guy has 3 MOTM compared to two for Gavi in 103 full matches played.
There's no comparison in terms of output - not everything is measured in goals and assists, obviously, but Fermin's X-factor is unlike any other's in the team except for Lamine.
Selling him would be a mistake for all parties involved.

Olmo had better goals/assists per min last season than that as did Ferran and Raphinha.

'X Factor' is not something to pin on players but dont think he had it more than those three last season .

Olmo is near world class on his day, his performances in La Liga still can't compete with what he's shown in BL and for the NT, but he is constantly injured, unfortunately - consistency matters. Also, Fermin is younger and stlll undergoing development - his performances in the Olympics for the U21 should be an indicator of his immense potential, though.

Chelsea are trying to lure Fermín by doubling his salary and guaranteeing him a starting role. They’re ready to offer over €50M, while Barcelona would only sell for more than €70M.
Chelsea insist they won’t move for Fermín unless he tells Barcelona he wants to leave, but would then push hard in negotiations. Fermín is seriously weighing the offer, despite always envisioning his future at Barça.

@HelenaCondis
Absolute BS, no way he's starting ahead of like 3-4 of their other attackers.

Imagine being that much of a cuck that escort girl dictates that you should move away from your boyhood club, so that you can experience maxi lopez or de bruyne fate by enzo fernandez. Stupid kid, especially if the rumours are true that he even got in fight with his family over the escort prostitute, which the people said tried to fuck with seville b players but got dumped. Imagine playing against those people and in game shit talking lmao. Fermin, you fucking suck

Wait thats what this is about? And this fight with Gavi too?

A player like him is very valuable to have in the squad. Probably not a starter material long-term, but bringing him on when you need a goal or more directness, tenacity in the box is something every team needs.

I suppose it will mean more opportunities for guys like Toni and Guille, but they're not really similar players.

This situation is not good for the club, especially when your own manager is publicly saying he's displeased with the registration issues and don't want to lose another player having already lost Inigo who we haven't been able to replace with another LCB.

Hopefully this doesn't lead to Flick walking away next summer if we have to keep this charade going on with registration issues, having to miss out on some potentially good players along the way.

Situation is what it is, but the public comments even from Flick leads me to suspect that they haven't been exactly honest with him either regarding the VIP seats and all other issues.

Apparently their latest offer is 65 million in a single one time payment. Tempting offer to be honest.
Making Flick unhappy will cost the club far more than this. The transfer can only happen if first Fermin asks for it and second, Flick gives his okay.

I will be extremely sad, but I think he will leave. It's about the salary. He gets a ridiculous 6 million euros, net it's about 3 million euros. Compare this with what Gavi gets - about 10 million gross, Araujo - 12.
