He has deficiencies and holes in his game on either position. Mainly because he is a bit of raw talent who overstayed in his academy sue to FIFA laws.
But if he ever made it to first team and stayed there, I will be shocked if it is as RW mainly. He would probably get some minutes there, same with Toni.

Next preseason + season will be key for the career of both. One of them will kick the other out. Or maybe both won't make it here

Fermin was called up for the Nations League as well as the U21 Championship. Will have a busy summer. Not liking his U21 call up though. He's a first team player for club and country now, no need for him to participate in youth tournaments....

The first reports about Garcia being linked to Barca were started in October last year by MD. Since then his name kept coming up every now and then. Confirming a months long popular rumor isn't an exclusive.

edit: You know what an exclusive is? When everyone is talking how Flick is going to use Gundogan, while one journalist reports he'll be out this summer and he was the only one right in the end. Or announcing a transfer no one is talking about yet like Julian Araujo. Or announcing first if a player changed his mind with Ronald Araujo in January, while everyone was talking about Tah as replacement.

It's a fact, that Romero lost his primary source with Cruyff and is only repeating and confirming rumors this season, as he's searching for a new exclusive source.

It was listed as we "follow" him, not that he is our choice. Among several names.
And as I said, Romero is the first to point in Garcia interest in joining us, that being Espanyol player will not be a hurdle in it.

Him and Olmo competes for the same position in NT, he might want to prove himself as a better choice to De La Fuente. He will have many offers tbf

Fermin ain't going nowhere at least not yet.

Maybe If a youth player leapfrog him then he might start looking else where.

He was a bit upset at the start of the season with how he's was being used relating to play time, but things have gotten much better.

Hot take, but if Wirtz going for 130m, Fermin is easily a 100m+ player. And I am not even joking.
Wirtz has 10 G/ 13 A, in the Bundesliga while being the focal point of the team playing. Fermin has 6G/ 5A while playing half the minutes and not being the focal point of the team. Both are AMs who can easily play a False 9 role.
We would be stupid to let him go. But if someone wants to buy its 110m and we can talk.
