That's true. I don't dispute that.
I think Leverkusen's setup also gives Wirtz space to do the conducting. Throw him in Flick's overcrowded midfield and I dont think he will have that much space for it, or will be so much better. Wirtz might be similar to Olmo in that aspect. But he will be better than Fermin for sure.
And hence I have Fermin about 30-40m lower than Wirtz.
Ill go along with that. If Fermin was at a 2nd or 3rd tier club we may see a high tier player that big clubs would pay an excess for. If Nico Gonzalez went to Pep for 60m then who is to say Fermin wouldn't do similar for example.
Environments, timing, opportunity and openings make the success. I'd say the best thing to ever happen to Fermin was Xavi coming and getting involved in the Barcelona first team.
I was watching his highlights weekly at Linares and he was great. But without Xavi he wasn't coming back, he was going to get sold to a lesser club (I think the rumours were someone in Bulgaria or Poland), so no one was going to give him this kind of opportunity.
