Being late can happen to literally anybody. Even the most disciplined players in squad like Raphinha and Kounde. If it happens many times it will be a problem, but not for us - for him. Flick is very clear with this policy and he follows it without exceptions

Dont think it will happen often, he is too motivated to ruin his season with these stupid mistakes.

Don't understand the notion that it's fine being 2 minutes late.

It's like a job interview, you don't want to come in to the interview right on time. Plan yourself to arrive a lot earlier so you don't get benched for something so simple.
True except this isn’t a job interview, this is the job and these are the rules you agree to abide by when taking the job

It’s a non story really but because English narrative is solely about undermining the player they push anything critical. This is Flick’s team and he sets the rules and it’s up to the squad to adhere to it or face the consequences they are fully ware of. Getting there early or just on time is up to players

I love it, more so because it only highlights there are no exceptions based on salary, importance etc. I’d be more worried about Jules’ tendency to arrive late but even that seems to be a non issue even for Flick as the Frenchman continues to deliver & show great professionalism

The Rashford narrative, especially coming out of UK, is a fascinating watch in character assassination

It's all a narrative, he's just a victim right? Everybody is picking on him while he was a role model all the time, why?

In reality he was unprofessional at United, looks like this is the first sign of him being unprofessional here. One time it could happen to anybody but maybe this is just a start of his shananigans, we'll see, Flick will make it clear with benching him if that happens.

It becomes headlines at Barca because of Flick's strict policy which leads to the player being benched. Would guess it's pretty common at other clubs too but there they probably get away with a small fine and thus nobody outside the club will ever know.

Point is, it's much easier to bring out the unprofessional card at Barca when in reality players elsewhere get away with it without any media fuss.

Making a mountain out of a molehill.

Shit happens. This was his first, if it becomes a habit, then it would be a problem. But knowing Flick, he will reprimand him, and also we won't activate the buyout clause because of his behaviour. So all good.

Just to remind you, Kounde has been late for 3 games. So let's just keep the outrage proportional.

I would say it is a job interview if Rashford wants the club to buy him after his loan ends.

It's a very minor issue as I've been enjoying his performance so far, but would have expected someone like him to do whatever it takes to impress management.

Take a fucking chill pill. Dude needed to get checked, let's see where he takes it from now before we get ahead of ourselves.
He knows this is an amazing opportunity to revive his career and so far he's been proving us on the pitch, and there's more to come. We loaned a player that just scored 2 amazing goals AWAY against Newcastle and than a great assist the other day - I look forward to see him get even better with us and us activating that 30M buy-out. Nico is half the player, thanks Nico for staying... sucker!

Flick has a good system going. Not fine, and not a disaster unless you're doing it often.

Wrong to not have problems with a player being late, also wrong to take it personally as manager.
