Ngl, he was clutch in that Rayo game. Just watched an edit of his saves on tiktok. Think he's easily in top 5 or 6 gk's in Europe right now, just behind Donnaruma, Alisson, Raya and Martinez. I would even put him ahead of Courtouis, Simon and Oblak although i might be reaching but he did have most saves in La Liga last season.

He was the best goalkeeper in the league last season.

Folk rating him is a continuation of that not just one game.

It works both ways. Courtois would be the best still but he gets forgiven a lot of mistakes also or goals he could do better on.

Courtois and Aliison are the two clear for now.

Tbf concerns regarding defense, Flick not willing or being able to adapt his game, not buying quality CB or striker were all raised since the tail end of last season. First three games only cemented those worries.
