Robbed of it in CL so I guess this is fair. Although I'm not sure if he was the best in league, his finishing against random midtable clubs could be frustrating at times

I thought so; however, after checking the trend, I noticed the winner in the UCL mostly goes to a player in the UCL-winning team (especially when the team plays well). It even went to Ribery in 2013 (who had 1 goal and 5 assists), and Ronaldo had 12 UCL goals in that season.
If Raphinha has that type of season again and we win the UCL, then he definitely wins it.
He still has chances for Ballon D'or

Ribery was better in the CL than Ronaldo that season - Ribery wasn't a goalscorer but did so much great work outside the box and in general play.

How was Ribery better? Ronaldo scored against every opponent he faced in UCL that season, Lewandowski even had a great season then with 10 UCL goals, i think he had a great game against Madrid in the Semis, and people would argue that he even had better UCL campaign than Ribery but the award went to Ribery

Classic example of rating a player by stats rather than how they perform through the game. Sick of the stats obsession in modern football. Go back and actually watch the games.
I mean come on mate, it's just silly to rate Ronaldo and Ribery head to head on stats. Ribery is an unselfish team player who creates for others and is always present throughout the game. Ronaldo's game on the other hand revolves around his goalscoring and stats. Why compare them purely on stats?
Is Ronaldo better than Maradona because he has scored loads more goals.
To give an example, look at the United tie - Ronaldo was pretty poor in both games, but managed to have two moments that led to two goals total. Ronaldo was also pretty poor in the semis vs Dortmund despite scoring in the first leg.
There's far more to football than who puts the ball in the net, fucking sick of saying this. Plus Ribery got plenty of assists anyway which backs my point about him being a team player.
This is like saying whoever scores the most goals in a league season is automatically POTY.

Most of his post history seems to be about Dembele and PSG.
Also, I thought by now most people knew better than to rate who was the best player automatically by who scored the most.
