1 - Marc-Andre ter Stegen

Girona is a no go. They can't afford to cover even 50% of his salary. I'd rather pay him and let him rot in the stands than let him play somewhere else while also covering almost his entire wages.

The obvious destination is Girona but does it matter where?

Of course. Galatasaray is much richer than Girona and there's a chance they could cover his full wages.

Weren't they interested at some point? Our only problem with Stegen is wages. Other than the wages he gets paid, he is doing marvelous. Wouldn't change a thing.

We need to make something happen this winter. If he plays the world cup it's over. We'll never get rid of him.

Either way, if the world cup passes, and we're stuck with him... it's really bad.

There's a tiny chance he could benefit from the world cup after going deep with Germany but it's a very long shot.

If you’re thinking short term or only in terms of FFP, yes. If you’re looking longer term where an agreement to even a short term loan to Girona is linked to being open to a permanent move in summer - so he can prepare for the WC, even at lowly Girona and still get most of the bag? Might be the strategy

If Mats leaves for a loan this winter, even if its Girona, he is not going to be on the bench next season. Its almost a guarantee.

Now if he doesn't go for any loan, and sits out the World Cup, we are not getting rid off him, till his contract is up.
