1 - Marc-Andre ter Stegen

Regarding the whole Stegen - Bravo duopoly, we've discussed this before. That was an anomaly that doesn't last more than 1-2 seasons. No club is rotating goalkeepers. No club buys two top goalkeepers and expects for them to just be rotated or sit on the bench when they know they could play regularly at another club.

Happened with Navas and Courtois at Madrid. Happened with Navas and Donnarumma at PSG.

What's this shite about Ter Stegen moaning about Bravo when basically he was in the right? He was the better, younger GK and could have played for any top club. Of course he asked for a starting spot.

He said that among other things. If the club is leaking he will have to go out then he's really not rated by our staff.

I agree with the decision to push him out btw. Makes total sense. They probably don't trust he has the ability to contribute, and then he'll just be a big wage for a 3rd keeper that will likely just sit out all games.

And keeper is really the last position where you need 3 players for.
Yeah of course, because you are one of those haters. I'd also prefer to see Ter Stegen move, but I don't mind if he insists on his rights. As I said, it's his decision: money or the World Cup.

Better than Bravo back then? He was younger, that's why he stayed.

I care about La Liga a lot. For all his supposed good level in La Liga, Stegen won Zamora only once in 11 years... during a season Barca was at its most defensive oriented version.

Madrid will get stronger. They can make over 90 points next season.
I also care much about la liga so i want garcia as a starter but that changes nothing how I feel about such hate

Fans want him out of our goal for logical and normal reasons. This happens and the hate continues... then I agree the hate is too much.

He is gonna go straight into the irrelevance bin for me. Like others before him.

The same Bravo that was a calamity in England and got benched by a Ter Stegen from Temu.

Yes, we will see how Stegen will do post Barca, if he is selected by a big club that is.

Bravo is a double Copa America winner as captain of that Chile side. Back in that period, he was the better keeper, this is why he played the majority of the season ahead of Stegen when both were competing at the club.

I do agree he should be pushed out, just don't do it using the media.

When did it ever help? And we shouldn't start with it

I mean there's not much issue about leaks that Stegen is not gonna be a main man anymore. Quite obvious since Tek is extended and we're looking at new keeper for not that little money.

Hardly scandalous. If he wants to stay despite this and we push... different story.

I don't want to be a fly in a wall near this dude in a while. Sometimes I hope for somebody to have the "cules" to say "dude, find another club - make som cash and have a kid etc - but Barca aint it...

Mats is the least liked Barca player out there. Barcaforum was ahead of the curve on that. Journalists fishing for clicks connecting the dots is all I see. Plenty of loyalists on a propaganda quest too, furthering this lil media campaign he’s been on since coming back from injury.

Haven’t seen anything that would look like a leak from the club. In Frenkie’s case, it was obvious.

No doubt he’s entitled to honour his contract and accept any role the club sees fit and earn the money promised. Like any player out there. And likewise, the club can try and push him out.

Maybe it's the board/management putting pressure on him through the press or maybe not, but Xavi Torres who is a reputable journalist for what it's worth and has critcized Laporta quite a bit as well is claiming that his agent called Deco just before the Inter game and told him ter Stegen was healthy and therefore should play immediately. Basically demanding he start again.

Which didn't sit down well with Deco and the management in general.
