    CB next season

^ He used to be a defensive midfielder indeed, but now he's a central defender who joins the midfield, not unlike Piqué. He's a versatile player, because he can play as a left back too, he does that in the Belgian national team. But he's just not good enough to play for us imo.

    The Dutch Eredivisie

PSV have still got some tough fixtures left...FC Twente away, Feyenoord away (Feyenoord away =/= Feyenoord home), etc. I still think FC Twente have the best change of winning the Eredivisie, because they're the best team. The most solid ones for sure. And 3 points aren't much....

    The Dutch Eredivisie

^ Wijnaldum sucked all season, and suddenly he scored four! WTF? Also, PSV - Ajax 0-0, AZ - FC Twente 2-1. So great news for PSV, who now lead the league by 3 points. If only PSV had a decent striker who wasn't injured...Reis was good, but Berg sucks. Koevermans shouldn't even be close to PSV...

    CB next season

Vertonghen is overrrated, he's not Barça material. 15 million would be a lot for a player like him. He's not a great defender, he's just tall. He's a decent passer, but still, that's not enough to be a Barça player.

    Ibrahim Afellay

^ I agree with you, apart from the first part. I feel like Afellay is less predictable when he plays from the left. When he plays from the right, he often seems to always try to beat his defender, but when he plays from the left, he sometimes moves to the center, to link up with Iniesta, amongst...

    Ibrahim Afellay

^ Well, if you watch closely, you'll notice that his crossing and quick passing (like when he wants to pass while running) is not as good with his left as it is with his right. But you're right, he's almost two-footed, and it often isn't noticeable.

    Barca's expiring contracts

    Keep Pinto! Keep Dani Alves!

    The Dutch Eredivisie

I just didn't expect an attacker to be technically skilled enough to pull off something like that...so it's not about the defenders, but about the attacker. Well, he does look a bit like Puyol, don't you think? He's my favourite antihero in the Eredivisie at the moment! With his ugly...

    The Dutch Eredivisie

^ There have been a lot of strange Eredivisie goals this week....Fehér's lucky deflection, Kashia's own goal with his back...and, of course, Arjan 'the Dutch Puyol' Swinkels with a screamer from the edge of the area! How unlikely...

    The Dutch Eredivisie

^ That's in the Dutch second division, so it was kinda strange to see a player do that at that level.

    Jose Mourinho

At least Di Maria stretches the play. You need width to get the most out of players like Ronaldo and Özil. Özil would indeed play as a false winger, and I don't think that would make things better for Real.

    Arjen Robben

His passing is so much better than he's been given credit for...he had some killer passes in the last couple of weeks. He's not just a great dribbler and a dangerous shooter, he's got playmaker-skills as well. I mean, how many times have we seen Bayern score from a Robben through pass to Müller...

    Jose Mourinho

^ Özil > Kaká as a trequartista imo, and Di Maria > Özil from the right. So he should just bench Kaká. He's not as good as he used to be.

    14 - Javier Mascherano

^ True. Busquets is a diver extraordinaire.

Cool verhaal man!

    Ibrahim Afellay

He just doesn't link up well with Dani Alves (yet), so I prefer him as a midfielder or on the left.
  17. Jesse1509

    Christian Eriksen

He's excellent. He definitely has 'Barça DNA'.
  18. Jesse1509

    Gabriel Milito

^ He just needs to find his confidence again...I mean, he was solid last season, surely he can't be absolute shit all of a sudden?
  19. Jesse1509

    Jose Manuel Pinto

He's more solid than I thought...I'm glad we've got such an experienced back-up for Valdés.

    14 - Javier Mascherano

I agree. It's always good to have a tall defensive midfielder, because it gives the opponent a harder time using the long ball. The long ball, in other words, is less likely to reach the attackers, because Busquets can head it away, usually, and Mascherano usually can't do that. Also, Busquets...
