    10 - Lionel Messi - v5

    2016 is unfair.

    Luis Suárez

It must be confidence. Even with the goal he wouldn't have either produced the first touch or the finish a few weeks back.

    10 - Lionel Messi - v5

Caps off a great year for him in terms of his own performance. Disgrace that the prancing shit has beat him.

    Luis Suárez

So frustrating. At least he's scoring again. Good goal and good run before that. If he keeps scoring hopefully his touch will come back as he gets more confident.

    FIFA Club World Cup 2016

Kashima put most La Liga teams that roll over for them to shame.

    Luis Suárez

It shows 'world class strikers' that there's no place here for the next 5 years because Suarez is here. We could sell him for big money at 30/31 and spend the money on a younger forward, or we could lose him for nothing at 33/34 when he's already over the hill and have to spend a fortune to...

    Edinson Cavani

It's a bit like Penaldo. People look at his goals record but he misses stacks of easy chances as well, but he does get so many chances because of his movement Cavani though has always flopped on the big stage.

    İlkay Gündoğan

    Dodged a bullet.

    Luis Suárez

Doesn't deserve a new contract he's been dreadful this season. Why reward such poor performance? Only worthwhile if it helps to persuade Messi to stay. Otherwise why get this done before Messi? Let's just hope it's poor form and not a decline for a player nearly 30 now.

    Edinson Cavani

A glorified Andy Cole then. Great positional play and movement but a terrible finisher. Suarez's finishing can be bad but he has a better big game record than Cavani.

Barca miss out again. Hope it's not another Dybala where we're interested when he's worth 3 times that in a year or two.

    Edinson Cavani

He's a glorified Higuain. A quality striker but bottles big games and stat pads in a weak league. It's no point knocking hat-tricks in against Metz or whoever if you don't turn up for big CL games. In that respect he's the heir to Ibra.

BS Friendly: Al Ahli - FC Barcelona 3-5

Beccause nobody could be arsed with it and they're all jet lagged after a long flight to the other side of the world?

BS Friendly: Al Ahli - FC Barcelona 3-5

Couldn't we have just not played this and risked a fine or whatever? Or played it during pre-season if we had to? We've got a derby at the weekend FFS and it's their cup final. it's not like we're Real Madrid and they're going to roll over.

    Luis Suárez

As I said he had no impact. Messi got Argentina to the Copa final and played well in the tournament. Ronaldo won the Euros and Griezmann top scored and got France to the final. Suarez can only be judged on his club form.

    Luis Suárez

Been poor this season and had no impact on the Copa America. I'd be tempted to put him above Griezmann for bottling the two finals and Ronaldo because he hasn't played well most of the year and their goal record is similar even without Suarez scoring all the Penaldo's. I think Messi and...

    Champions League 2016/17

Without a doubt, they always do get the easy draw. At least this year there shouldn't be a Wolfsburg or Apoel for them to draw in the quarters and Penaldo to whack in a load of easy goals. The frustrating thing is every year they make the semis (even the final last year) without facing a good...

    Champions League 2016/17

Sevilla are a decent side. Better than anyone they played in the knockouts last season which was like a Europa League draw in every round. Man City would be a good draw again but they have got good players if Pep organises them properly.

They're pure bottlers. Up there with Roma.
