    10 - Lionel Messi - v3

A minor hijack of the Messi thread but agree completely. Doesn't always come off, but what a player he is to watch. Just to bring it back on topic, the form Messi is in is mesmeric. I think having two direct players playing alongside him is making all the difference, giving him the space he...

    Rafinha Alcantara

This. As long as he's prepared to be patient, there is potentially a permanent position for him within the next couple of years when Don Andres has to start managing his game time. There are still plenty of opportunities in the mean time for him to play, though.

Cdr: FC Barcelona - Atletico de Madrid 1-0

Just had a cheeky bet on 3-0. Come on lads, win me some money!

    Bojan Krkić

I'd struggle to comprehend why I was on loan at Sevilla and Munir has been given so many chances, if I were him.

Cdr: FC Barcelona - Atletico de Madrid 1-0

If the plan is to come to the Camp Nou and go all out in attack, they may as well not turn up. I can guarantee that won't be happening.

    10 - Lionel Messi - v3

He isn't a player that particularly relies on coaches. You pick him, tell him to roam wherever he wants and sit back and watch the goals fly in. Some people will use anything to try and beat the coach over the head. What happened to giving them time to put their stamp on the side? Wasn't all...

Lliga: Getafe CF - FC Barcelona 0-0

I'd play Raki and Xavi. The Don still doesn't look fit and started midweek. Maybe use him if completely necessary, if not, use Rafinha.

Lliga: Getafe CF - FC Barcelona 0-0

Playing at the same time as Villa for the second consecutive weekend FFS. Will have to rely on not finding out the result and watching later.

    10 - Lionel Messi - v3

Could do with a rest. I can't see him wanting or getting one mind.

    Marc Bartra

Haven't been convinced in the past. He's changed my mind, should be getting far more game time than he is.

    Pedro Rodriguez

I don't see it working, putting Pedro in at RB. It's one thing to have work rate and be effective going forward, quite another actually being able to time a tackle and, far more importantly, have the positional intelligence. Those aren't things you just pick up. Whatever people say about...

    Luciano Vietto

Apologies if there's already a thread, did a bit of scrolling back and couldn't find one... Another young promising Argentine forward. I've watched him a fair few times this season, as well as a few times for Racing, yet to see him have a poor game. Villarreal was an ideal move for him.

    10 - Lionel Messi - v3

I do think he becomes more predictable on the right as he always wants to cut in on his left. Of course he can still beat a man, even when he knows which direction he's going to go, it just becomes far more difficult. It's the only real way to accommodate Suarez though I suppose.

    10 - Lionel Messi - v3

I think it's quite simple. Look at what both players bring to the side. Ronaldo has become a poacher, now heavily reliant on the service he gets to make an impact on the game. Playing for the current European champions, he's getting a fair bit of it. If he doesn't score, he barely justifies...

    10 - Lionel Messi - v3

Because Madrid and Barcelona, in an attacking sense at least, are so far ahead of anything in the premier league. I'm a Villa fan and I'd expect us to get pummelled 4-5 were we to play either of the two, same goes for about 15 clubs in that division.

    Friendlies

I couldn't believe until I'd properly witnessed it. I honestly couldn't believe how much this team misses Iniesta and Xavi, even Xabi Alonso. Spain have now regressed to the side they were 10 years ago. England are awful but for the first time since 2006-7, I'd fancy us to beat them.

    10 - Lionel Messi - v3

There's a possibility that Neymars influence on the side would grow if Messi were to move on, though not, in my opinion, enough to replace someone as good as Messi still is.

    10 - Lionel Messi - v3

Oh I agree. I certainly wouldn't put it past them, though. I'm sure they'd try and spin it round to make it look like there wasn't a choice.

    10 - Lionel Messi - v3

That sounds to me like he's looking for public reassurances from the club. If those aren't forthcoming, maybe this is the time the board will look to sell him, with his market value still so high and still young enough to command a huge fee.

    10 - Lionel Messi - v3

Vergini, Fazio, Ansaldi, Masch, Banega and Zabaleta have all been shocking. I can see that he wants to give everyone a go, I just don't understand why the two centre halves particularly I mentioned are even in the squad.
