Not if we bought Ter Stegen as well.

    Zlatan Ibrahimovic

Really? We should forget all about the Rules and punishment system in an effort to ensure one team is not disadvantaged because of a dangerous over the top tackle which received the deserved 3 match ban. Lets let the teams pick up the ball and run with it, shall we?

    Jose Mourinho

Have to agree with you CF4. Controversy follows Mourinho like a bad smell. He is a tremendous coach who wins trophies, BUT he comes with baggage. As i have posted elsewhere he spends a lot of money/doesnt have anything to do with youth/plays a defensive, destructive form of football/gets...

    Alexis Sanchez

My mistake; apologies to Jonathon, then, i thought that with that avatar... Apologies to tello, also, for trying a joke when he probably knows better than i do who Jonathon supports.

    Zlatan Ibrahimovic

After a cowardly attack over the ball, designed, IMO, to hurt the Valencia opponent; lovely to have him back!

    Alexis Sanchez

No shit Sherlock; what gave it away? The avatar featuring the back of a white shirt with 'Benzema 9' on it? ;)

    Zlatan Ibrahimovic

Should have had 3 match ban for that tackle; its over the ball, studs up in an attempt to harm the player after the first challenge. UEFA (main man Platini a frenchman) helps out the only French team left in the CL - Quelle-fucking-surprise!!

    Daniel Alves

Unfortunately his shooting has gotten bad of late; free kicks either hit the wall or end up in row Z. We could do with more shots TBH, but IMO it's from the middle of the pitch 18-25 yard out...BUT with the defence falling back filling the area between the lines of the 18 yard box with a back 4...

    Francesc "Tito" Vilanova

Hopefully he takes care, but just being on the bench will lift the players. But can he just sit and watch and not get involved?

Euro42million transfer and something like Euro14million per year in wages over 5 year (?) contract. deal would add up to Euro112million. WOW!!! No wonder we baulked at getting Silva.

    9 - Luis Suárez - v1

Superb; he watches it all the way, and the technique...lovely volley.

Transfers and Rumours - old thread

Why is it though, that we can spend our whole budget (some would say waste) on Ibrahomovic, but we cant on a world class CB that would help us dominate in Liga/CL?

    Francesc "Tito" Vilanova

    Excellent news.

    9 - Luis Suárez - v1

Most of these players would up sticks and move to play CL football (if they arent already), or for 150/200 000£ per week, or to play at a higher level...whatever. The best teams in the world cherry pick the best players; when their rosters are full, the next best players will gravitate upwards...

    9 - Luis Suárez - v1

<Sniggers> if id wanted a history lesson i'd a viewed something on the discovery channel! Your examples are ALL players from a different era/age; before travel became so widespread; before players from S/america etc moved abroad for big money; before big money really (BTW Shearer stayed at...

    Sergio Agüero

True, Kerrybai, you never know what's going on behind the scenes. Is Kun happy in himself? Is he enjoying his football? What is his relationship like with the manager/other strikers etc. IMO, in Barca with Tito managing, playing for the best team in the world, playing beside his International...
