    8 - Pedri

Yep. People said (as with Yamal, Fati and Gavi) he was playing too much too early and it would ruin him. That seems to be the case with Fati but the other three I think that won't happen. They do need to be rested though as they're all still young (especially Yamal). It's only the injuries that...

    Diego Simeone

It's gone stale for him now. How long has he been there now? 12 years or so?

    8 - Pedri

He's always been an incredible talent. Only thing that can prevent him being one of the best players in the world is injuries stalling him. His calmness and composure in tight spaces is striking and Xavi-esque. Not even 22 yet either. Future is bright.

    Liverpool

I think Birdy agrees with you that it is more effective - by like it less he probably means he finds it worse to watch. Personally I like both styles. as I said before Klopp in second half of his spell had already began to move to a 'safer' more controlled style.

    23 - Jules Kounde

He's very good defensively, I think very solid and steady. If Balde can be more expansive on the left then it adds balance to have a flying full-back on one side and more conservative one on the other. Not saying Kounde is necessarily bad going forward, just that his strengths lean towards...

    16 - Fermín López

He's a class act. Full of energy and vitality on the pitch, and good technique too.

    10 - Lamine Yamal

Let's hope so and I think you're right. The reason I don't commit to statements like that is I am a naturally cautious person and always think about worst case scenario. Or in your words 'a self hating pessimist'

    Champions League 2024-25

Not a great evening for me in predictor, but to be fair I think tonight will be low-scoring as there were a lot of surprises. I will post the result later. To be fair only 32 percent of people predicted Barca to win and I was one of them, which is great. However, I should maybe have more balls...

    11 - Raphinha

The hat-trick goal was very Rivaldo-esque: a left-footed, diagonal, driven low shot that seemed to glide along the grass and nestle in the bottom corner. Seen that fairly often from Rivaldo.

    5 - Pau Cubarsí

Lol have seen him several times now and he's clearly going to be world-class and a leading centre-back of the new generation. Assuming he avoids the usual stuff (injuries or problematic women, lol).

    21 - Frenkie de Jong

He is a big talent (I slagged him off to Jam Dav more to wind Jam Dav up). However, his fitness and other stuff might always prevent him being the level his talent demands (by that I mean consistently one of the best midfielders in the world).

    10 - Lamine Yamal

They know they are incapable of ever again developing a Yamal level talent so they wanna throw money at a player of that level. Funny lads.

    9 - Robert Lewandowski

I think he's scored a fair amount goals with it over the years (correct me if I am wrong anyone) so it's a little odd.

    10 - Lamine Yamal

To be fair, it is a game of opinions, so fair play who ever said that. In my opinion though, he was very good in first half and even better second. It seems a consensus on here too (bearing in mind this is a forum about Barcelona). Yeah I figured you would be watching the Liverpool game. It was...

    9 - Robert Lewandowski

Excellent tonight, to be a bit critical: The chance when he was isolated one on one (I forget with who) - he dilly dallied. He really has to come back inside on his right foot and get a shot away. In tighter games he has to get that right, as excellent a striker as he is. The chance a few...

    20 - Dani Olmo

He really is class. Maybe I am just lucky but he never has a bad game when I watch him.
  17. Maradona37

    10 - Lamine Yamal

Lol no. He was better in the second half but very good in the first too. Just because he didn't score or assist in first half doesn't mean he didn't intelligently help build play. Whoever said that to you (or where you read it) was being harsh on the lad's first half performance.

    17 - Marc Casadó

Not as familiar with the boy as the other young starlets in the team, but I like him a lot from what I have watched. Barcelona have so many quality young players coming through La Masia.

    11 - Raphinha

This guy is a legend

    11 - Raphinha

Two great goals. Honestly thought the chance might have gone with the first one but the extra touch got him by Neuer and opened up the goal again. Many players would have panicked and shot without that extra touch and had the shot saved. That's why he's a quality player.
