Yeah Xavi was not looking his best either which surprised me a lot. Torres has an excuse having just come off an injury (and I believe he'll be fine again next match) and it's been known that Villa tends to underperform when he's up there by himself, but what was going on with Xavi and co?

Villa was getting easily frustrated and Torres almost seemed hesitant at times, that is not how we want our guys to play. I would say more chances were made once Torres came in but still they were too weak.

Torres did play poorly today, he's still rusty from his injury. Nothing you can do about that one other than hoping he gets back into the swing of things by training more. But you can't say Villa was much better than him, he was getting so frustrated and that was definitely hurting his play...
