Actually, I am fine with you these days. And hold no animosity. We traded some blows - sometimes it got very heated, but overall I bear no grudges or anything. I am not the type of guy to hold grudges and always willing to let bygones by bygones. It's you who will not bury the hatchet with me...

    World Cup '26 qualifiers discussion

@Fati_Future_BallonDor @MonteCuler Thoughts on Jordan and Uzbekistan reaching their first ever World Cup? Thanks to the expansion obviously, but still.

    Manchester City

It was superb stuff. The games were all played at a frenetic pace and you could tell that Guardiola and Klopp respected each other highly, and the players of the opposite team. Even in that Man City All or Nothing, Pep talks quite a few times about being terrified of Mane, Salah and Firmino, lol.

    Manchester City

I don't think that Pep-Klopp City-Liverpool era of battles in the league and that tie in the CL will be topped anytime soon in English football. That was mesmerising stuff.

    Kaká

Aye he looks good. Healthy and fit also.

    10 - Lamine Yamal

Yeah Vinicius and Mbappe are both great players, but they're more reliant on speed, space, running in straight lines than Lamine is. Lamine is quick but doesn't need to be. The way he twists and turns, nutmegs people or turns them inside out in small areas is very key to his ability to then...

    10 - Lamine Yamal

The whole video of his footage is fantastic, but I have said before that the goal at 1.42 is so so special. I watched that game live a few months ago and it's just the way he's going away from goal but just glides like a gazelle and effortlessly all in his stride curls the ball into the far...

    Ballon d'Or 2025

So true about Beckham's international career too. I do think he was a top player but he was a major failure for England. 1998 - sent off, England eliminated 2000 - average at best like his team-mates as they go out in groups. 2002 - jumped out of tackle with Roberto Carlos that led to (of all...

    Ballon d'Or 2025

Yeah, Beckham was obviously excellent that season, but from Man United alone there were many great moments of others, and I think Keane was their standout performer that year. Cole and Yorke were also excellent. Like you say there were a lot of big moments that went United's way like the FA Cup...

    Dean Huijsen

I was thinking that. The first time I saw him I thought he was a normal English lad from the south coast lol. Even his name sort of passes for English, lol. He's definitely gonna grow his hair out and get tattoos at the very minimum.

    South America qualifiers

On the other hand it's good to see Paraguay coming back a bit in this qualification cycle. They have had a difficult time in recent years, but looks like they'll qualify comfortably for this edition. I remember watching them in the days of Chilavert in the late 90s, Santa Cruz, Cardozo, Acuna...

    6 - Gavi

I did it in a few threads last summer, was commended for my stamina and commitment to the cause. Never again though - you cannot beat him as he just goes on and on and on, lol.

    South America qualifiers

Yeah that is true too. There's a lot of corruption and dodginess abound. It's still a real shame to see so much talent squandered and not reach its potential though. We all know South America is probably the major hotbed of football talent. I have no doubt there's loads of talent there and it...

Suppose having so many great midfielders is a good problem to have.

    South America qualifiers

I think I said it before, but it's shocking how bad Chile have become. Their golden generation of 1984-1988 births mostly aged and now they are bottom of qualifying section. Their' golden generation' (relatively speaking) was about the same time as Belgium's. I guess you can't expect smaller...

    South America qualifiers

Indeed. They'd have even more points if not for the three deducted for the Byron Castillo fiasco too. They play well. Ecuador have actually been a solid team in South America for the last twenty five years and made several World Cups. Good to see their improvement this century.

    10 - Lamine Yamal

He's more talented and natural as a player than that non-natural, robotic footballer Ronaldo has ever been, or ever will be. Hopefully he shows the geriatric who's boss on Sunday.

    Dean Huijsen

A lot can change with young players but he looks promising every time I watch him. In saying that they did concede four goals, lol. But none were really on him too much.
