    Joan Laporta

 but  but mainly  I don't know, it seems to me that most international Barca fans either don't criticise Madrid as bad as they could, or have just gotten over it. Rather it's the Barcelona papers, cartoons etc. coming out with the same crap about Madrid's money day-in day-out...

    Robinho

This is Pep Guardiola that we're talking about though, Beast. I mean if anyone can manage someone like Robinho and unlock his potential it would be Pep. And the situation would only be improved by the squad that Robinho would step into. If Robinho came, I would have faith in Pep.

How far should Barça go to sign David Villa?

The furthest we should go is 40ME + Cáceres on loan + permanent transfer of Guddy. And I mean the furthest, that imo is the most we could do that is still within rational bounds. If a competitor is willing to offer more than that I would be very very surprised... I wouldn't want to loan Bojan...

Do you want Ronaldinho back in FC Barcelona?

Are you kidding me? Ronnie as a ball boy would be the worst thing - he'd be so lazy and he'd never get the ball, no matter if we were 1-0 down in the 89th minute of the CL semi second leg. Nah, in all seriousness, he is a Barcelona legend, but a legend of the past, and it should stay that way.

    1 - Victor Valdes

I don't suppose there's anything wrong with Valdés and his agent negotiating and starting out high. It's either that they come to a compromise with the club, and a decent financial agreement, or that Valdés holds out for huge demands. In which case the club should not budge and VV can leave. I...

Okay very well, you've every right to hold that view but to be honest it's quite odd that you should think like that, because I would assume that living in the West actually opens up your eyes to these issues. First thing's first. You're not going to see any names because the Uzbek government...

You don't know what it's like to be in a former Soviet or Soviet satellite state. I can assure you that the amount of mafia activity, corruption, human rights abuse and foul play is mind-numbingly high at Bunyodkor. 45% of the Uzbek population live on less than $1.25 a day and yet you have this...

I remember when we were linked with him, before he went to Madrid. But that was after the end of our Dutch era already.

OOOH! Gneg starting to realise he can cash in on his eagle-eye. Although to be fair, this is probably one of the only intricacies that I also noticed during the match ;)

If Fabiano played in the EPL, he'd get even more red cards than he does now.

Yes I know very well that Real Madrid have lacked managerial stability, and I wasn't referring to it as a phenomenon strictly under Perez - in fact I was talking about keeping up the "usual hiring-firing" by which I mean the usual, and not strictly under Perez methods. Having a solid structure...

Yeah fair enough, I've never seen the man do anything aside from playing football and donating to some charities, and since football players aren't always the brightest sparks... Alright, I get what you mean there. It sounds good, because if Madrid plan to keep up their usual manager...

Beast what I don't know is how capable Zidane is as an advisor. I don't know much about him on a non-playing level - is he really intelligent and competent enough? I mean there are some footballers who you can tell are very intelligent individuals too, but as for Zidane, the headbutting incident...

    Real Madrid (old thread)

Yes you're right, so far it's all just transfer rumours and you can't believe them. We'll see; if a lot of the negotiations happen with cantera players as bargaining chips, or if a lot are sold, then that will give a clearer picture. For now I shouldn't judge, I'll wait and see.

    Real Madrid (old thread)

I've said it before Beast, when you were telling me about the great plans for the cantera, and I'll say it now again, it's just not gonna happen. No matter how much some Real Madrid fans wish, in the end with all their big, non-Spanish names out there they'll forget about the cantera sooner...
