Worst case scenario we just play Bartra or Puyol on LB and play a 3-4-3 with a very attacking Alves - this works if our 3 defenders are actually defending (which disqualifies Pique unfortunately).

Honestly, he wasn't THIS bad 2 seasons ago. What the hell happened? He throws himself down "like a sack of potato" (quoting somebody from the forum) 3 seconds before the attacker makes his move, he is painfully slow, no reflexes etc etc etc.

-Barca/Bayern -Bayern/Barca - this is a tough one. Iniesta, Xavi and Pique are imo playing below par atm (even though xavi has started better than he was last season). Adriano is defending better than Alba, gives us a litter better balance in defense. Neymar is a genius and the SEX is awesome...

Totally agree. His crosses suck. What is worse, very often he crosses and NOBODY is there? Messi is in midfield and our wide forwards are licking the lines and still he puts in crosses? Anyway, if he stops with the useless crosses and puts in a couple of extra % in defense than there is no other...

We have a luxury problem with Adriano now, he was supposed to be backup for Alba but IMO he is clearly better in all aspects of the game. But, he is not only better when defending - he is miles better than Alba.

Still, he is very skilled, technical, good passer, gets out of situations calmly without loosing the ball, great in attack (maybe not his crosses) and still manages to defend alright and sometimes he even defends very good.

I don't even read all the comments in this thread because they are usually negative. But please believe me, you will all miss him when he is gone and maybe than you will start to appreciate what he has done for us and what he still brings almost every time he plays.

Hight schmight, when was the last time you saw Pique defend set pieces any good despite of his height? I'll tell you, it was like 2 seasons ago.

Maybe he looks confused in the beginning of matches because he gets to play every tenth game? It takes a couple of minutes to find the groove...

Why start Bartra over Masch when we can start Bartra + Masch instead of Pique?

He did ok, but I would not hesitate to play Bartra + Masch over Pique and soon Puyi is back.

Once again, BEAST! Masch injury was a blessing in disguise, now Bartra + Masch when he gets back and soon our captain is back!
