Who is the best goalkeeper in the world?

Seeing as we have a "best striker" poll, I thought why not have a best goalie one too. Especially because I cannot understand why some people are adamant that Buffon is the best GK and has been so for the past god knows how many years. There are many keepers out there who are better and less...

    5 - Carles Puyol

This is a picture of Puyol playing football in his swimming pool And this is a picture of Puyol playing American Football during Barca's tour of the US.

What can I say but God bless UEFA's new match scheduling, we get to watch sooo many matches it's insane!

    Positive Thinking Cules

Kept up our lead at the top of the table, we will make it very very hard for Madrid! Alves and Xavi will be back from injury soon, Txigo is back and Touré played and although he hobbled off I think he's still ok. Real Madrid have the uphill task against Lyon, and hopefully we can show them how...

Puyol will be fine for the Stuttgart match! It was just a hit on the face and I think he will play.

    Ronaldinho

Rooney is better than Ronaldinho at this moment but imo Ronaldinho was the MoM in the Milan-United tie. The only problem for him was that he played on a team with a pathetic defensive performance. Ronaldinho's WC hopes will be compromised precisely because he plays for Milan. Milan's season is...

    Rafael Márquez

Of course that is impossible because Chyg is not allowed to play in the CL.

I guess Pep will play Milito-Pique which is a better comination than Marquez-Pique? I don't know, good question...

    9 - Samuel Eto'o

I wonder too, I don't know if he would be what we need though, he was already wasteful enough last season (and yes, he scored a MASS of goals but the competition was much weaker than this season) and he would have been away for the ACN, which, considering our injuries and absences, may have been...

    Bojan Krkić

Yes i really hope so, Bojan is very committed to Barca so perhaps he is the right player to shelter. It can get frustrating though sometimes for both fans and the player.

    9 - Samuel Eto'o

But imo the kind of stats you can expect now that he is a bit older and has lost his youthful explosive power and efficiency. Plus his touch lets him down. Remember that a couple of those goals have been penalties as well. I still contend that he was right to have been let go by Pep.

    Bojan Krkić

That's a good analysis, I have to agree with you about his shot, he had one or two ferocious attempts and indeed he should have chosen the back post when he ran through nicely. I think that he has great placement as shown by the Bilbao and Catalunya-Argentina matches, he just needs time. His...

However Xavi and Alves will travel to Stuttgart in spite of not having been given the medical all-clear, as will ibra.

Ibrahimovic, according to sport, had problems with his right ankle during training and so is a doubt for the Stuttgart match as well.

    Pep Guardiola

What brilliant substitutions by Pep!!! He actually got them right! Fine, the Puyol one was one of necessity. But he brought on two youth players for two slightly tired players, he started the match with a well-rotated squad in the first place as well. And nobody played only 5 minutes. Great stuff.

    Bojan Krkić

It was in the first half, Bojan had a particularly good first half - though he didn't score it's like expecting someone to score after months out, cause that's what Bojan's been really. He also was no pushover, Messi and Bojan complemented each other very well imo, when Bojan moved out to the left.

    Robinho

Imo Brazil has never been known for its defending. Hence the whole wingback ideology, that defenders even should be more concerned with attacking than with defending. Ronaldo for example has been fantastic and truly quality since going back to Brazil but tbf even by watching highlights you can...
