    CB next season

My issue with buying a reasonably old CB is how quickly will they adapt to a new system? It's not like they'd have time on their side, and given the Barca style is fairly different to anywhere else, you don't want countless mistakes in the middle. You look at the likes of Abidal, Chyg, Thuram...

    CB next season

I'm a big fan of Gabi but I think he needs to go an get regular football if he's to rediscover his best form. Promote Fontas and Muniesa, the latter covering at LB, and they can grow with minutes under their belt. Abi has proven himself capable at CB this season, I think we could get another...

    How long will Pep stay?

I actually thought had we won a lot of trophies this season he may leave then, but obviously he's about to sign the new contract, so whatever happens we'll have Pep as manager next season. I wouldn't be surprised if he went in 2012 though, I think he'll want a rest and then the chance to manage...

    10 - Lionel Messi - v1

First half he was dreadful, he looked like he really wanted to be somewhere else, definite hangover from Weds. Credit to Pep, whatever he said at half time did the trick. He was so much brighter 2nd half, some great runs, he seemed to relax a bit and enjoy himself more. I'm sure that goal will...

    Daniel Alves

Some sloppy passes at times but he didn't give up, was always providing an option and energy, which was certainly lacking in the others at times. Nice ball for the 2nd goal.

    Xavi Hernández

Possibly the worst game I can remember Xavi playing in a long time, but still created the two goals  seriously though I can't believe how much he gave the ball away!

    1 - Victor Valdes

It doesn't sound as serious as that on the website, they just say he's not 100% for the game tonight?

    5 - Carles Puyol

He'll be back for the 2nd leg right? Although Pique will be a miss having Puyi back will be a massive boost to the team's mentality (effectively what lost us the game). Plus he and Abi's styles are complimentary anyway, so should be good.

    Jack Wilshere

As an Englishman, Wilshere's progress this season has been brilliant to watch. We must build the national side around his talents.

    10 - Lionel Messi - v1

Hahaha look at this WUM^^^ Jog on you total bellend

    Maxwell

He looked really nervous early on, very poor for the first 15mins. After that he seemed to relax and play quite well, but then 2nd half he was poor again. We'll need him to improve.

    10 - Lionel Messi - v1

Overall pretty poor from Leo tonight I think. He missed chanes he'd normally gobble up, and he looked lazy at times quite honestly. Obviously he was given very little space but we really missed his movement in the 2nd half. We'll need him to turn it on in the 2nd leg, like last time.

    Michael Laudrup

He's an excellent coach, I think he's definitely capable of taking on a big club in the future. I can't seeing coming back to Barca though. It's not a link that has been rumoured or spoken about. Whereas the Figo anger still burns whenever his name is mentioned, there's a general indifference...

    Barca's expiring contracts

I hope Pinto stays, he's awesome :D he's a good no. 2 I think, and a good character to have around. Nolito isn't good enough IMO, so should be moved on. He'll find another La Liga club. Alves needs to sign! Abi has been brilliant lately, I wouldn't offer him more than a year extension though...

    Bojan Krkić

You don't stay confident when you're not playing unfortunately, and the lad hasn't played enough. When he has had chances he's looked rusty and that's only hit his confidence more no doubt. It's a bad cycle to be in.

    abidal CB or LB

He has been superb lately, if you remember in past seasons when he played there he looked a total liability against anyone. So his game has improved massively. Yet to be tested against a really top class attack though, so we'll see how he does in the big games coming up if he gets to play there...

    Eric Abidal

His form is ridiculously good now, so calm even when things got hairy. Brilliant performance last night.

    14 - Javier Mascherano

He needs to have some minutes, I hope Pep plays him in the next game.

    Sexism in football

The fact you have Assange as your avatar immediately shows which side of the fence you're leaning anyway. The whole thing was a sad indictment of our politically correct culture at present. Both twats, but that wasn't the point. Meta G Nev would be awful  fair play he's always had an...

    Adriano Correia Claro

Brilliant goal from him last night. Adriano's performances are certainly improving every match, you can see he's getting that confidence back that he had at Sevilla. Coming to a club like Barca it can take time for players to settle.
