Barça fined €30,000 by UEFA for Catalan Independence Banners during 2015 CL Final

"Inappropriate banners". Lol. What is their criteria, exactly? I'd like to know that.

Barça fined €30,000 by UEFA for Catalan Independence Banners during 2015 CL Final

I'm not pro-independence and I find the "independència" chants tiresome, but this is draconian policing. And no, the independence flag is not "illegal". It's just not representative of any administration, which is very different from illegal.

Are you sure? I mean, I agree with you on the only point I am able to discern from your post ("Obama?") but I'm not sure a post that cryptic is going to exactly bring him back into reality.

Rafinha needs to step up. He'll be needed in the first half. And hopefully, Samper shows his talent (come on, Lucho, try him as a CM).

    Josep Maria Bartomeu

In the end, all of them act as little less than dictators. At least, from the business side of things, he seems much more serious and responsible than Laporta. On the sporting side of things, this board lacks a clear direction, but it's difficult to argue against a treble. We're lucky to have...

    Josep Maria Bartomeu

I wasn't disagreeing with him. In fact, that was not intended as a comparison, so it's possible you have misinterpreted what I said. What do you think I'm comparing here? Bieber and Mozart is just an example to illustrate a point that I think is obvious: He said that the UAE had a better image...

    Luis Enrique

To everybody reading this: this is an hypothetical situation, Xavi hasn't criticised the Qatar deal. So as long as he takes the money from them and just shuts up about anything else happening in that country, it's ok. The problem is that criticism of the sponsorship stems precisely from what...

    And Barça is spreading wahabbism?

    Luis Enrique

No, the analogy would be more like: would you criticise a company for doing business with guns while at the same time you're doing business with guns?

    Luis Enrique

But imagine he criticised Barça for the deal with Qatar because of what Qatar represents. People would laugh at that. Mind you, Xavi hasn't done that. He has made a very vague observation that I have no idea how to interpret.

But if you take a look at their politics, they're not substantially different. Media is media. According to the media, Justin Bieber is more important than Mozart.

    Josep Maria Bartomeu

I think the people who criticise the Qatar deal are mostly Barça supporters. Usually, the level of criticism at Madrid is much lower. Yeah, I think wearing "Fly Emirates" is morally about the same level.

    Barca elections 2015

Bartomeu: "We`re good, nothing to see here" Laporta: "I have no program, but I have charisma" Benedito: "We're doomed! You hear me? Doomed!" Freixa: "We're good, but could be better"

    Joan Laporta

No, I don't think so. She was with him some time ago.

    Joan Laporta

I've just discovered that she has another "hit" called "No me subas el IVA, bájame las bragas". Sorry, can't translate that, the pun would lose its effect.
  16. Zinedinho

    Luis Enrique

So the fact that no member of the first team said anything about any of the candidates is evidence that they don't support Barto and instead support someone else? Is this what you're saying?
  17. Zinedinho

    Joan Laporta

I think Laporta's program looks very improvised. All he has is names, people around (and some bloodsuckers that shouldn't be there) but I've found him very disappointing. Considering how bad he managed the economy of the club after Soriano left, it's not looking very good. For the most part, I...

    Barca elections 2015

That's interesting, and if true, it would make the Qatar deal look even more shady than it currently looks.

Maybe they're using him for free publicity, if they actually exist.

    Barca elections 2015

I think Benedito is a whining demagogue. He likes a lot more to talk about politics than football, and yesterday he confirmed this impression to me.
