BarcaForum demographics: Where do you come from?

Not the first time people from this forum think my nick isn't entirely appropriate, being a Barça fan. I think Zinedinho sounds awesome, and despite being a passionate Barça fan since I was a kid (like most of my friends, unsurprisingly), I think it's fair to admire great footballers, regardless...

    CL | Round of 16 - 2nd Leg: FC Barcelona - Paris Saint-Germain 6-1 (6-5 agg.)

I didn't think so when I saw the replay on TV, but it's a penalty. A clear penalty to me. It's not the arm, it's the feet: https://imgur.com/HrbfPCc https://mobile.twitter.com/RondoPeriodista/status/839791804723654657/video/1

    Rafinha out for 6 months

I was referring to the tweet posted by Chong Li: http://www.barcaforum.com/showthread.php/13269-Rafinha-out-for-6-months?p=1532447&viewfull=1#post1532447

    Rafinha out for 6 months

Right now I tend to think this is a case of FIFA bending the rules and making stuff up as they go because the people in charge (like most regular people I guess) have developed an antipathy towards Barça out of winning too much over the last years.

    Franco Cervi

It's funny that he's more or less from Rosario, like Messi, but from the video he looks a lot like a left footed Neymar. It's just a video, not a career, but the skills are there.

    Andrés Iniesta

That pass... I keep thinking about it. Genius.

    Cesc Fàbregas

    Ouch!

    Sergi Roberto

Rafinha is way more creative than Vidal. Much better in tight spaces. Vidal is better at getting into the space, which perfectly suits the role of our fullbacks. Sandro and Munir, even if their level of maturity can't be compared with Vidal, are more like backups for Suárez, or even Neymar...

    Sergi Roberto

I had to check that out. I have to take that back. Yes, as a winger, with Carvajal as fullback. Honestly, that reminds me a bit of the Alba/Mathieu partnership at Valencia. That's a very different role from that of a forward at Barça.

    Sergi Roberto

To be clear about what I mean: Vidal was a very good forward for Almería, an average forward for Sevilla, and would be a below average forward for Barça. Pedro is much, much better than him in that position. Barça would've never become interested in Vidal as a forward. Nor Chelsea (who signed...

    Sergi Roberto

All of them in the last third of the season, if I'm not mistaken. The games that earned him a spot in the NT, precisely as a fullback, not a forward. So yes, I stand by my words.
  13. Zinedinho

    Sergi Roberto

I'm not sure Vidal is good enough for that role. He wasn't even one of the best players at Sevilla offensively. Not a great dribbler, not a great finisher, although he's technically pretty decent, has great pace and stamina and the right attitude. We know Emery demands physicality and intensity...

    1 - Marc-Andre ter Ansplant

I recently watched a Youtube video of Gary Neville's analysis of De Gea's improvement in several aspects of his game. One of them was one on ones (begins around 5:00). According to his analysis, Ter Stegen did the right thing by holding his position: _t2t1M-5FqY

    Ross Barkley

To anyone following the Premier, how's he doing? I was really impressed a couple of times I saw him play with England. Anyone thinks he's Barça material?

    Seung Woo Lee

Are we supposed to worry that he isn't getting much taller? Seriously? I could understand that more if we talked about a CB, even a striker, but a player like him?

FC Barcelona: Win of the youth system

Someone at Barça must be wearing The Ring because FIFA is acting like Sauron. "I see you" (read with scary voice). Yeah, to the point it looks like an obsession. Here, take the fucking ring. It must be someone who keeps being invisible. Therefore, Rosell.

    Gerard Piqué

Yeah, I recall that exactly as you describe it

Good to know. They disappeared for a while. A bit like Málaga, I guess.

I see you're not familiar with the fierce rivalry between Oviedo and Gijón, both the cities and the clubs (when Real Oviedo existed). In fact, Gijón is more culé, while Oviedo is more merengue.
