14 - Marcus Rashford

The issue is QSG wants him too (according to rumors). I am sure they will meet all salary and fee demands. We can't compete with them when it comes to money and Rashford is not some childhood Barca fan to make sacrifices on salary.

I'm indifferent to whether we sign him or not.

If we do then he need to decrease his salary significantly and should be a 20m max deal.

Honestly though I would love for us to move on from Rashford and go for a player like Said El Mala from FC Köln.

El Mala could be a good choice but he is one of those bundesliga attackers. In the Bundesliga, attackers always look better than they actually are.

If they want him, they can get him. We won't compete with that. However, this sound like a load of bs.

For me, 13-15M is too much for a sub. We should not go over 10 million for the bench.
Also max 3 year contract

Salary is also related to fee, you need some competent attackers from the bench, and an overall 20M annual cost is a bit fair. If the club has a salary cap of around 400M next season, that will be around 5% of it.

Indifferent is the right attitude. He isn't a key player to keep, but we would still need to get someone with that output on the bench.

Mala is a nice talent, he is worth following

I think they won't, they have more cash and better options. We're probably the only club in for him that he would like to play at...

If epl had strict rules like la liga, manu would be forced to give us rash for peanuts. Same shit we are dealing now, considering money spent and results, they should beg us to take him for free, just to offload his contract.
But, that aint the case, so we would splash 30m minimum on fee and god knows how much on salary if we buy him.

Like Enrique would buy a lazy turd like Rashford. He'd probably kick him out of the first training session.

Am I missing something here? The only elite thing he did that is past Roony's ability to pull off atm is the double vs Newcastle. That's about it.

Consistency and workrate are terrible, or at best completely unreliable. He'd make for a good Raphinha sub, but that's it, and even that with 20% of his workrate, since Raphinha is much more than just end product. I'd try Roony a bit on the left. Let's see how he does exactly on the opposite wing, as an option for a much much cheaper price.

Of course, if Rashford will prove to be a supersub in CL... this can change, as we need players who can pull of a great goal when needed at the right time. But the way things are looking... big pass.

I don't need Rashford for La Liga at 20m+ and one of the biggest wages in the team to only play when Raphinha is rested. Are you kidding me? We'd go back to full retard mode. If we had a full strong starting 11 sure. But in our situation... forget about it.

Truth
The lack of defensive effort from him in the final moments was criminal.

This was right after he missed that chance. Been on the pitch for 10 minutes: https://streamff.com/v/d56f2af7
Really poor from him, no doubt & you can be certain Flick and staff will show him the complete lack of urgency but context relevant as well of course, because he had just sprinted down the other end of the pitch to scuff the best chance of the night..and this followed multiple all out sprints of 40-50m. I think he was gassed tbh

Not a great cameo in an otherwise excellent loan spell, I do believe you have to demonstrate your quality in a Clasico to get cules behind you and even in mopup he was unable to take advantage

He’ll have more chances to rise to the occasion in the business end of season and THAT is where we’ll see what effort Deco et al will make to continue this audition further - either by extending loan or making it permanent

Gassed after 10 minutes of game time. Good excuse.

Imagine they scored this. I can understand he's not good enough with the ball but this shouldn't fly with Yamal, let alone this lazy bum.
