Absolutely breathtaking Romario. And Pep was just such a wonderful player, he makes me wish that I was born sooner. Maybe he's making up for it with his coaching :dance:

Both were just pure class, I enjoyed both pieces of magic, brillant goals.

As for the best Barça goal ever, that is a very tough question to ask. The Messi goal vs Getafe, Rivaldo's overhead from outside the box against Valencia and Romarios first in the 5-0 stomping against Real Madrid are 3 which come to mind(I think videos have been posted for all), but its a very tough choice to make. Every season is full of great Barcelona goals.

I have 3 candidates -

Messi v Madrid 2011
Rivaldo v Valencia 3rd 2001
Ronaldinho v Chelsea 2005

Rivaldo v Valencia 2001 wins it for me, the goal was just beautiful. A bicycle kick not just any bicycle kick but a bicycle kick from outside the box. Wow

For now, the list is long to choose from and the top 10 would all involve Messi then its Ronaldinho, Romario, Rivaldo and Stoichkov to choose from. I think Lamine has to do this in a CL Final to get into that list but his goals already are just outside the top 10 - His Inter goal might be his top for Barça so far, for me

  • RM 2017 with the shirt
And while most tout the Getafe solo goal as the greatest, I actually am drawn to ones like vs Zaragoza in 2010 or AC Milan in CL 2013. Leo's catalog is unprecedented, no one, not even Lamine will come close

Not the best goal and probably not even in the top 5 of my favorites but think this Neymar goal vs Villarreal deserves to be mentioned.



Also, one Messi goal that is underrated imo is the header in the 2009 CL final. First because it was obviously important and second because he didn't score that many headers.

Yeah, Rivaldo's goal is stil one of my all time favorites. And R10 against Chelsea was fantastic too. Add the Iniestazo at Stamford Beach and without thinking too much these are probably my top 3 (in no particular order) non-Messi scored Barca goals over the last 25 years.

And if we go further back then ofc Ronaldo vs Compostela 1996 (his strength, pace, dribbling and determination was just out of this world) comes to my mind.


Also love Johan's goal against Atleti in 1973.

Best 'almost' goal ever seen live was Messi v Atheltic Bilbao at home in 2011.

Mazy shifting it from foot to foot skinning them.

Watching it back doesnt do justice to how quickly he did things like that live and how little space he had to work with.
