For sure a bum. Worse than Valdes, and worse than Bravo. For Barca level at least. Keeper of our biggest humiliations in CL.

Nobody were good in our biggest humaliations in UCL against Roma (away), Bayern (away) or Liverpool (away).

The whole team were terrible, not just Ter Stegen. Football is after all a collective sport.

Messi was non-existent, and nobody would ever hold these losses against him for the same reason as Ter Stegen.

His shenanigans aside:

He wasn't a bum in his prime, but not a hero or a GOAT goalkeeper either.

He had an awesome 2022-23 season and a good CL run in 2015.

For the rest of his 8 seasons here, there's not much to give him a hero or GOAT label.

Ter Stegen in our lowest moments was often our 2nd best player. In 2018-19 season, Messi and Ter Stegen almost single handedly won the treble by themselves, Messi carrying the attack and MATS being literally the whole defense.

That's precisely the issue with Stegen. He was never a decisive player for us. When things went great, he was decent and that's about it. Was never a difference maker for us like the top keepers were for their teams.

Just a soft mentality player with not much quality to deal with pressure like the best players out there.

He is called a bum because fans witnessed almost all the big teams while he was here having difference makers in goal. While we didn't.

Surprised he has to sign off on it, but not surprised he's pulled this move, he's clearly not happy with how things unfolded.

Only person that needs to sign the report should be the Dr

Not how I remember it at all. How many goals did Suarez score in 2018-19?

Another delusional TER supporter who thinks TER is a legend of this club.
He is not and will never be.

How does this idiot even think he will be German no 1 being the third choice keeper here.

Get the fuck out

I expect any decent keeper we sign while the team is playing well and stacked with quality to do a pretty good job in the league by default. You don't get much credit for it.

The 'Ter Stegen case' is being talked about in the dressing room. Most players are not siding with the club. @gbsans

- Support for Ter Stegen as captain: De Jong, Gavi, Raphinha, Cubarsí
- Support for Ter Stegen: Olmo
- No clear stance: Koundé, Eric García.

Pretty meaningless. Players usually side with their teammates at first, since they're close for years. Dressing room dynamics. Especially because he probably tells them his point of view, while the club obviously doesn't bother to explain this situation to the dressingroom.

I imagine he won't be on the list to vote for the new captains. Once Flick explains to them that he won't be rejoining the team, they'll understand.

The difference for me where you really feel the impact of a top keeper lies in the big games. For club and country. CL, Euros, Copa America, World Cup. You shine here and make a difference, you're top level. Winning the league while being a keeper for the best side in it, or 2nd best ar worst, not enough.

Same will go with Garcia.

It's all about self preservation at this point by him. He's pulling out all the stops to make sure Garcia doesn't get registered. He's willing to absolutely fuck over the team if it means he can retain his starting spot once he gets back.

He's that delusional if he thinks that Flick and the club is going to let that shit slide.

Don't think so. It's more likely that he knows he is done and is lashing out. He can't be this dumb to think this approach is gonna get him his starting spot back.

No. He's done, he knows it, offers are non existent, not much to lose. People think he has this huge ambition to play at the world cup, but I don't see it. It's certainly not a 20-30m worth of ambition.

He's sitting on a good contract to milk out, so... he thinks he can afford to be a prick. We simply need to show him he can't.

All very predictable to me. If you don't have ambition and real confidence, but only a big chip on your shoulder, this is the logical approach for Stegen.

Stegen always put pressure in all the alternative ways except the one that requires the most confidence and the most quality to pull off. with Bravo, with Neuer at the Germany NT, now with this situation.

It's standard stuff for players to support their team mates

It's normal the players put their personal relationships before the club. But I don't believe that report, it's about getting easy clicks now that the topic is hot. The vote for captain is anonimous.

And what do you expect the players to say when they talk to the media? Of course they'll just say something positive even if they hate him. We all know what Messi thinks about him but he never said one bad word in the media about him.
