Problem with players like Pena is that they got used to nice salary and big club which is tiers above their talent. They know they will never return to this level. It's much easier for let's say Villareal to get rid of players they don't want than Barca. Big paycheck, great city, big club, talented squad, no one wan's a downgrade from that.

It makes sense not to sell him, if we somehow fail to register those two, then Inaki is the only GK we have. The German fraud is done, he will never step on the field again after his stunt. Will either rot on the stands until his career is over or leave on Barcas terms.

Both GKs will be registered in August. Just a question of whether it will be before the 16th when league starts. In that case Iñaki might play first 1-2 games. But I doubt it will be needed.
