Ay ay ay you are right he did blow it! Right when we needed to beat mallorca and osasuna. Scoring in the CL final still doesnt make up for not scoring against mallorca and osasuna.

that is the damn true, after his brilliant goal the game changed completely. and without disregarding Iniesta's pass that goal was pure world class striker merit.

Beast, remember when we bought Ruud and I wrote a comparison between defenders in Spain, Italy and England? Remember how I said in order for Ruud to score goals he had to abandon his methods in England where he scored against defenses that body check forwards or use their body as a goal shield whereas in Spain, defenders go for the ball? Ruud had to be a little more patient in Spain before shooting the ball so quickly and redirect its direction first then shoot?
Vidic defended EPL style, he defended the ball brilliantly had it been an English type striker. Someone would have taken a shot instantly, he closed down the space very well, but Eto'o responded with his Spanish type instincts. He did it so brilliantly, he did it the same way a legendary striker would. Terrific goal by a die hard football fan, let alone a class striker.
Every single Manchester United fan considered the defeat a direct result of the goal.
I can't believe the criticism and lack of faith he received on the final day of the Champions League.

Well done Samu for shutting us up. He'll always be a Barca legend. Hero in 2 european finals says it all. Still think the criticism was right baring his past performances as was his praise due right now. Do I want him to stay at the club? Probably not as it would be best to have some fresh blood. Would I be upset if he stayed? Zero chance. Thank you Samuel.
