Enzo just wants half a year preparation for City when he takes over from Pep in the summer. Hopefully Xavi won't replace him, I'd hate having even little sympathy towards this oligarch toy evading all financial rules.

Xavi continuing after Pep would make sense.
Don't think so, they'd most likely want a Pep zealot who worked under him to exactly continue the same work. Xavi never did. And there were reports some weeks ago, that City decided Enzo should be his successor. Him and Chelsea parting ways now supports it, so he has half a year to prepare calmly for his next job.

Chelsea board never amazes at how low they can fall in ridiculousness

I never though there will be a worse board than Abramovic's
And there you have it: Bohley and Eghbali have reached a new all time low in 3 years already:
from Tuchel unfair sacking to hiring Potter to sack him again midseason,
to hire Pochetino for 1 season but not trust him, to hire Maresca and sack him after delivering EL and CWC

PS: Maresca might have been open to the City job after Pep, they might have been furious at that.
Don't know what was brewing within,
but it's another ridiculous decision at sporting level

It makes sense too. Maybe more than Xavi because the past.

Exactly. This club needs stability.. and now they fire the coach. Terrible. Let the coach get used to the players he has. They buy and change players all the time and it causes instability inside the team.

They have no clue what they are doing. They have found few good players but it's quite clear there's no real plan happening. They are throwing shit at wall and hope it sticks.

Maybe with few more billions they can do it..

And the coach has more than delivered for them so far: EL and CWC over best team in Europe in the final

They might fantasize they can get better results with their squad in shorter time.

Dreams are free, realism is sparse...

It was Conference league not EL. The best team they faced was Betis. EL has some very good teams, Conference barely has anyone.

CWC was his biggest achievement, but it is still a glorified friendly if we are being honest.

He got the expectations right tbf, but it isn't like he overachieved big time.

However, they have an awfully planned squad, no experience within the dressing room. They are more or less playing football manager but with the aim of profit rather than trophies. They seriously need an actual sporting direction. Maresca was their best bet tbh.

No big name coach should be touching this team, talent is there and with few additions they can be legit, however they aren't going to give it to anyone.
