Agreed. Some quality here and there, but they're a wild bunch. Hard to get that team performing week in week out for anyone. Don't think Maresca is losing any sleep over this sacking tbh .

Maresca done well for a period. But he had a joke of a start and a joke of an end.

There's no guarantee he was turning this around. Not without mature signings which the Chelsea board seemingly doesn't look for. They are purely talent acquisition and reselling while also trying to compete at the highest level.

As I said, for that type of model you probably want a stay quiet De Zerbi type. But In the end of the day, they will probably flip coaches like players in a very American way.

It's just money laundering scheme with extra steps. Keep a few decent ones, trade the rest for overpriced fees between your billionaire friends to launder money and improve balances.

I don't rate Maresca really and maybe getting a better coach is not so bad idea but their board really is a bunch of complete idiots
