Vanderson is trash, Rashford is not good at all, he has just soem lucky cross assists, Vlahovic is second striker at Juve, 20mil for Sensei with having half year on contract is joke lol.

Thing is we need a CB this winter. A LCB is a priority.
Either we loan someone, or have to go for a cheap option like Sensei.
Ofcourse Schlotterbeck is a better bet, and if we are looking for a LCB this summer, it has to be him.

Getting rid of Christensen salary and sending on loan Ter Stegen might do trick but maybe we will not be able to get both.

Flick's priorirty is CB. So I don't know why this is being discussed internally. And realistically CB is a higher priority. Another fullback would be nice but we can do without it. Without a centreback we have close to no chance for the CL. With extreme, unbelievable levels of luck we can do something - but we never have any in CL

Matteo Moretto said Barca is eyeing a young CB in the next window, he said he will reveal the name(s) in the next few days. It could be typical bs, but he is fairly reliable.

The "young" CB that were mentioned in the media before were Luka Vuskovic, who we practically has no chance to get, and Konstantinos Koulierakis from Wolfsburg .

There was also the rumour about El Chadaille Bitshiabu being offered to us.

The main priority is to get the finances in order. It's been what, 4 or 5 years since Laporta has taken over and we're still struggling.
Part of the problem is relying on players like Cubarsi, Casado and Balde. Than add frauds like Terrorist and Araujo.
Lewandoski is finished too. Yet, people blame Flick. People should be looking at Laporta and Deco. If we want to reach the next level we need better players. Simple. Vlahovic and Cancelo aren't going to cut it.
Personally, I'd like to see Goretzja here and Casado or Bernal sent on loan.

Barca has 3 players over the age of 30, two of them are backup GK.

The only 30+ players we signed under Laporta in 5 summer transfer windows and 4 winter ones were:

Aguero: was our best attacking option until he was forced into retirement.

Alves: minimum wage 6 months rental.

Auba: free player, best attacker for 6 months, sold for profit. A+ deal.

Lewandowski: goal scoring machine, marketable player. Better than the likes of Darwin, G.Jesus etc who were signed for more at at time.

Marcos Alonso: worst of the bunch. Xavi personal request for some reason.

Gundogan: very good one season, was easily kicked out next year.

Inigo: One year of meh, another good one.

There were some other stop gaps, like Felix, Cancelo, Bellerin.

But this is mainly because we try to invest in youth from La Masia and B team. And add starters that we can through transfers (Olmo, Garcia, Raphinha, Kounde) and we try to fill the rest for stop gaps.

We can't just stop getting those stop gaps and just sign 17 years old all the time

We need a mix of things, I agree. Always said Lewandowski was a good transfer despite his big wages because we got a guaranteed scorer that still had plenty of goals in the tank even if he was 33 when we got him.

However, we also need to land at least one of the bigger younger talents in defense, we can't rely only on La Masia, especially since the La Masia talents in defense are really not that great.

Luka guy is not central in my argument. I only mentioned him because you said we are linked with him and rumored to want him after Tottenham signed him. That's not viable. If we really thought that highly of him, get him before a rich club gets him, after that we don't have the funds to do it. That's all, I didn't even know who the player was.

In general, if we have very high opinion about some young player and we think that player is really special, I want us to risk a bit more to get him when it's easier to do so, and that's straight form his local club from a lesser league.

The defense has to be improved with either a top player in his early 20s close to make the step to top class, or with an even younger talent if the club deems him as a seriously big talent. This is the point where we are now. We simply cannot afford to sign young defenders that play in EPL, or for bigger German clubs or something like that.

What does it mean the deal won't be easy for example. Almost every talent you're impressed with won't be easy to get if you do your job right and the talent is there.

If we are impressed with some young player, you can be sure the club that discovered him and developed him is even more impressed and won't let go easily.

If you get him easily, with no suitor, or no other club that shows interest, we are either geniuses who found something all other big clubs slept on, a gem, or the player itself is not a premiere talent, and thus not a priority for those clubs, as they have better ones to chase.

You can leverage we are Barcelona, but you have to be able to make comparable offers for both club and player vs other suitors.

As said, La Masia doesn't seem to be great at developing natural defenders. We have to up our game for outsourcing better talent on defensive positions.

What does it mean the deal won't be easy for example. Almost every talent you're impressed with won't be easy to get if you do your job right and the talent is there.

From what I've read on twitter (not from Moretto,he could have mesnt something else) it seems Inter Milano has 5M deal with Hajduk close to being done. So, we are fighting to catch up.

If so, it is a bit of a fuck up. Though if he is Andy Bara agent it could mean several things. We might be used to get higher deal, or he is going to make us the only choice. You never know with agents.

So would probably be a flip target.
