Barca presidential election 2026

It's a miracle he's still president considering the ineptitude and lies.

But his choice of Flick saved him and that's his credit too.

Would be great to see someone new with fresh ideas and energy but most importantly; capable and trustworthy.

The issue is it's the same old Catalan elites with no new ideas and still stuck in the past. La Masia is important but needs an upgrade. It has to provide stronger players, both physically and mentally. We are not winning cl anytime soon with the sort of players coming out of the academy .
Finances are another issue. Get back some stability and stop wasting money on useless fuckers.

The big question is:

Is there a better candidate?

Politicians need charisma to fool working class folks, lie to them and sell them big dreams. Laporta has the charisma.

He got more credit.

It's not a given to have a comptitive squad to fight for all titles, while your league makes your life literally hell by blocking every single transfer. There is no other club in the world, that has our fanbase's demands of aiming for the treble each season and winning LaLiga against Madrid, but at the same time have restrictions to spend money like a Championship club.

Force your PSGs, Chelseas, Arsenals, Citys to spend as little money as we do in the last years and see them at the bottom of the PL, struggeling to avoid relegation.

And that's not even mentioning that he finally made the dream of the Nou Camp Nou into reality, while all other presidents before him just made cheap election talk with it, but never dared to actually start it.

Laporta dares. He dared the club's biggest and most complex project so far in a dangerous financial situation, he went out and secured a good financing plan for it, that allows the club to pay for the stadium with the additional income it'll generate. He dared to let go the club legend Xavi after a very mediocre performance, because he lacked the spirit and hired Flick, who's name was fading and who had never any connection to Spain or Barca before, which in return gave us our best and most entertaining season since 2015.

He obviously tells more than he should, lies for politics, but he's got credit for giving the club the light at the end of the tunnel. So if his only opponents will be Powerpoint Font and Bartomeu's co-worker, there should be no doubt that he should continue as president and reap the rewards from when the new stadium will be finally completed.
